Yes has a sweet funny taste, but works so much better than Rx version and pain subsides. Does burn a tad but that subsides as well! Doesn’t upset my stomach either.

I'm so glad this was only $5. When I say that it is terrible, I mean it. First, the smell is what you'd expect. Second, the taste made me literally gag. I had to run to the bathroom and scrub my tongue with a toothbrush. So disgusting. I wish I could return this crap, but instead I shall throw the garbage away and tell the world to save their money.

The taste is a little bit nasty, but it goes away fairly fast.

My oral surgeon packed my dry socket tooth with clove oil, so I figured this would work to numb the pain of a spot I kept biting on my tongue, and it does. It numbs the spot completely. Like others have said, it does taste terrible, but it's worth it to get some sleep, which I couldn't do with the pain. It's pricey, but I can't see using it more than necessary, so it will likely last a long time.

Truly, the worst thing I've ever tasted. LOL After biting the inside of my lower lip & getting a very painful sore, I saw this "organic" product & thought I'd try it.I put 1 tiny drop on the tip of a QTip & applied it to the inside of my lower lip.Sweet Mother of God.... 🔥What have I done?? This is ok to use in my mouth, right? Did it expire? What is that taste??I frantically ran to the kitchen in search of a bottled water - gagging & whimpering as I spewed a string of profanities I wasn't even aware that I knew.Then I was hit by the 2nd wave - Intense burning while the clove oil, mixing with my saliva, spread throughout my mouth, numbing my tongue, tonsils & lips.At this point I literally poured water onto my face & into my mouth.It only took about 2mins until I thought "Hmmmm... My mouth doesn't hurt! I guess this crap really does work!"

I want to try to be crystal clear with my review. First, I wear an upper partial and it has been rubbing in one area on the left side of my mouth, which has caused an ulcer in the spot. I've been using orajel which has helped, but I thought something that was made for mouth ulcers would be better. I got this ointment this afternoon and opened it tonight to try out. As soon as I opened the box, I smelled an odd, almost chemical or bleach smell. The ointment itself was a weird brownish color, as if it's gone bad, and the smell was even stronger and absolutely AWFUL! Still, I was anxious to try it, to see if it would help. So I cut open the tip and squeezed out a tiny little dab on my finger. Thank goodness I did that, because the taste was absolutely horrendous. It's been almost 30 minutes and I still can't get that taste out of my mouth! Think how horrible it would have been if I had put a BIG dab on the spot! I've read reviews now where some said it smelled and tasted like rancid olive oil. Thats a very good description, but I still wonder if there's not bleach in the gel. I will NEVER buy this stuff again! I'm going back to orajel.
