Beautiful cine lens for production.
Amazon had this lens for $149 used and I took a chance buying it. I think Amazon sent me a Brand new one because everything looks, smells and performs superb. Beautiful picture quality for video, very bright, cine picture 100%. Worth it at full price let alone at $149. I'm happy!

The lens is really awesome and great change over from the normal photography lens
The lens is really awesome and great change over from the normal photography lens. I have shot videos and photo and the output is amazing. The focus ring has a great play and is excellent to make micro focus adjustments. The aperture ring makes a world of difference in videography.Pros:1. Contrast (Dont expect a 70-200 f/2.8 contrast) is good.2. Aperture Control3. Smooth Focus Ring4. Metal built5. Renders fabulously buttery bokeh.Cons:1. Manual focus2. Will slow you down. Not for fast shooters3. The images are softer towards the edges but I think it is ok for a Portrait Focal LengthWill definitely recommend this to aspiring Cinematographers and Photographers

Great lens, great price!
This lens has a lot of character, and I love the look I get from it. I got the micro 4/3 version and I can confirm the crop is signifigant but workable. I also noticed fringing on backlit material, especially on things like fencing. I suspect this is the coatings they use and can be worked around. Loved its sharpness on all the material, and it definitely has a really beautiful feel. Construction is great, very solid. My only real complaint was that the hood is a little loose, and feels like it might pop off if I am not paying attention. Might just have to buy a few more of their lenses!

Great Lens (Takes Some Practice)
I bought this lens based on the facts that it was a decent price, is a Cine lens, and it works with my LUMIX GH4.When I first put the lens on, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I knew how to operate the aperture and focus dials, but not much else, and as an aspiring filmmaker, I only had plans to use this for video, not photos. So when I initially started taking test photos, I found that the pictures were ultimately grainy and dark, but then I figured out how to dial in settings on the camera (which, I suppose, is unrelated to this review of the lens). After a week of getting used to the manual controls and ISO settings and whatnot, I found this lens to be quite pleasing. It takes great photos as seen with my review, it has a great, sturdy build quality, and video quality is sharp at 4K on my GH4.My only gripe with this lens (which is again, my fault for not being knowledgeable on lenses) is that to have anything in focus, you need to stand at least 3 feet away from the subject, which isn't possible for a lot of shots, so things tend to look very tight and constrained unless you have a lot of room to work with.Ultimately, it's a great lens for the price/quality ratio. I am pleased.

A really great lens for a great price
A really great lens for a great price. I got the Micro 4/3 mount version of this lens, and am quite happy with it. The picture quality is pretty sharp, even when shot wide open at T1.5. The action on the focus and aperture rings are both very smooth. The build quality of the lens itself is excellent, with solid materials and a heft weight. The lens hood is a bit cheap feeling, but that doesn't bother me. I would very much recommend this lens to any aspiring videographer/photographer who can't afford the way more expensive Cine-lenses. I've attached a few test shots.

LOVE this Lens
I use this lens only for still photography, on a full frame camera (Canon 6D). It shows a list price of $299, but I was able to get it on sale for $195. I don't have thousands to throw at a hobby, so I am always on the lookout for value, and this has become my favorite lens, by far.Keep in mind that it is fully manual - no autofocus - so if you're not comfortable shooting manually and focusing manually, this isn't a good investment for you. But as you can see, if you do shoot manually, you can get some pretty good results, including at fast-paced sports events. I should mention I've shot sports on and off for a few years now, and almost always shoot on manual (hey, when you buy budget lenses, the autofocus also tends to be a little slow, so I make up for that by making all adjustments myself). This lens is also incredible in low light!Check reviews on YouTube and write-ups on other sites for more, but many mention f/2.8 is a sweet spot for clarity and bokeh.
