These Liontouch toys are not inexpensive, but they're also not flimsy, cheap junk. They're made from very sturdy foam that has a hardened surface which can stand up to some abuse. My son is 5 and has played with both this shield and the accompanying sword for months now and they still look almost as good as the day he got them.The detail on the artwork is quite good and the faux finish is well done to make him feel like it's truly a "metal" knight's shield. I think as adults we tend to overlook such things, but I can tell it makes the play all-the-more-fun for him that they're so realistic looking.Overall, a great toy that's actually worth the money. Wish there were more like them!

It is sturdy while being soft material. Colors are vivid and paintings are detailed. Priced than others but well worth the price.
