Over time, I find that I have generally replaced regular underwear with jock straps. I just purchased six of the McDavid jocks with the one inch waist band that I had often used for weight training. I find myself getting into a lot of outdoor activity even in the winter here in northwest Wisconsin. There is probably more strenuous activity outdoors right now with snow-blowing, roof clearing and a little snow shoeing once the snow is right. I used to wear regular underwear when working outside in the winter, but found I ended up with sweaty and clingy underwear that turned cold and uncomfortable. I always liked wearing jocks and soon I found my regular underwear abandoned! I particularly like jocks with 3 inch waistbands, and I had not had those with the one inch waistbands for some time. I received six of the McDavids swimmer jockstraps yesterday and I can honestly say they are well made and the one I have on right now is comfortable and almost unnoticeable. The pouch is more than adequate. The width of the pouch is perfect and the depth of the pouch supports well without having a lot of material bunching up. Jocks usually fit even better after the first couple of washes and I'm sure these new jocks will supply what I need. Jocks are also very comfortable to sleep in. So, get rid of your regular underwear and start wearing a good jock instead. You will never go back.

I bought this with high hopes given it’s basic design low riding 1” waist band. Upon opening the package I was very pleased with its off white color and sturdy construction - it really is well made and the quality is apparent. Then I tried it on. Right from the get go I could tell it was sized wrong. I’m 6’7” weigh 245 and have a 36” waist. The XL I purchased is definitely too small. The pouch was very disappointing as well - I have a large package and my balls didn’t get the coverage they needed, not to mention trying to put my shaft in there as well. I REALLY wanted to like this. So… I ordered the XXL and we’ll see how that goes. Once I receive the XXL I’ll come back and update this review.UPDATE: After receiving the XXL not much has changed, yes there’s more waist room, but clearly not enough room for your cock and balls if you’re larger than average.

In the past little while I have tried various types and materials of men’s underwear after I decided that I didn’t have to worry about what others thought of my underwear and the tighty whitiey type brief was increasing uncomfortable. I tried this manufacturers regular jock and found as far as support goes its pretty good it reminded me why I didn’t like boxers as it goes back to my early teen years when as a right of passage or so it seemed you would go from white briefs to boxers but because the offered no support or concealment when young hormones cause certain items to pop up it seemed that always happened when the teacher would call on me I’m trying to half stand half crouch to conceal the “problem” so I started to wear a jock under my boxers. I always liked jocks and other minimal underwear but trying to fit in I didn’t wear them until I was a little older. Anyway I found them to be very supportive and of all men’s underwear the jock is the quintessential men’s underwear. What’s not to like about a jock they are minimal they support well. The regular jock was black and I found that it was over all comfortable but the wide waist band had its problems kind of stiff and not really soft against the skin no matter how many times I washed them it was also hard to pull down the front to do my business without completely undoing my jeans. I decided to try this one as well as another brand of a more traditional style ive tried fashion jocks bikini low rise bikini various trunks and boxers.With this jock I like how it supports how it looks but the waist band kind of chafes a little as it doesn’t get soft. Even though I’ll probably continue to wear these and it’s regular wider waistband brother they will be for the gym and not daily wearSo these are more supportive and less daily wear I do like the look as I said takes me back when you first started becoming a man from a boy

An ok jock for working out in. The front isn't very stretchy which kind of smashes your genitals. On the other hand it's very supportive and the elastic of the bands is super good and creates lift. I don't know if I would buy them again but it's nice to have variety in design from these.

I have purchased more than my fair share of Jock Straps over my life. These are simple, do their jobs, low profile and fit perfectly. I will be ordering more of these. NOW ... Bear in mind. These are modeled after the traditional jock. While they are perfectly comfortable ... if you are a guy who likes a softer feel for everyday wear, these may not be for you. They feel like my old jock from High School.

These definitely run small. I am a 37-38 waist, so I selected size large which should have been okay. To be honest, these definitely seem to max out at like a 36 waste. The waist isn't as bad because of the elastic waistband, but the pouch is too small. Besides being too small, the pouch doesn't have any elastic along the side edges, so you run the risk of your stuff sliding out to the left or right. I had ordered these to use underneath my swim trunks, and I can tolerate using them as-is for a couple hours at a time. But they are definitely not comfortable for a whole day at the pool. Bike (now Gym) jocks are definitely better, but their swim jocks have been discontinued.

Item is made well, looks like it will last a long time. Basket is on the small side. Comfortable and with good elastic.
