Lovely Pencils.
These are great pencils and I would recommend them, they are great value for the price and the colours are of good quality. The pencils are smooth and nice to hold and use.Ideal to use for colouring, drawing and different techniques, while coming in a lovely two layered tin that fits them in snuggly and neatly.

Really love these pencils
These pencils have been a complete revelation and I love using them. They layer and blend really well, putting down loads of colour on the paper with very little effort. The colours are vibrant and there is a great selection in the 120 tin. While using them I have found that they do not drop flakes of pigment onto the picture, even when you use a lot of pressure. They hardly wear down and those I have used a lot have sharpened back to a fine point with a good manual sharpener. They have held their points without breaking or chipping. None of them have broken during use or while sharpening and all arrived in perfect condition. Penny at Castle Art sent an email to check they had arrived and I really appreciate this.My only slight issues would be the plastic trays that hold them in the tin, as one has split slightly. The tin itself is sturdy and the pencils feel great in the hand and look much more expensive than they are. I have done a colour chart which sits in the lid, as a few of the colours are slighly different to the colour on the ends. This is not a problem for me as I always do this with new pencils.I wanted to use them on several pictures before I wrote a review and I can really say that I find them as good as Faber Polychromos and far better than Prismacolour, both if which are far more expensive. For the money they are really wonderful and I would definitely recommend them and buy them again. It would be fantastic if they were available in open stock but as they are not expensive this is less of an issue.

A very reasonably priced, excellent alternative to the expensive artist quality brands
I have an extensive collection of adult colouring books, and am a member of several adult colouring Facebook groups, where I saw members posting coloured pictures using Castle Art pencils, and they were recommending the pencils and said they were comparable to a popular brand of artist pencils but for a lot cheaper price. So I decided to order a set and they arrived yesterday, I have not had much of a play with them yet but the photo is of a sample I made of some of the colours. They are very vibrant, and seem to lay down well onto the paper, as well as blend and layer easily. I like that there are a lot more shades of pink, purple and red, something that has frustrated me with other sets.I would just like to add that if you live in New Zealand like I do, there is a restriction on importing art supplies due to some brands containing toxic substances. Castle Art pencils are non toxic and completely safe, however the NZ Customs Service intercepted and detained my parcel so they could open and inspect it, and they kept if for 3 weeks, but fortunately they decided they were absolutely fine and released them and I received them yesterday. (I didn't know about the restriction until I contacted Customs who advised this was the reason why the parcel was still in their custody. )Castle Art customer service is awesome too, they contacted me and asked if I was happy with my order, which at that point I hadn't received, but they kept in touch with me throughout the process. I totally recommend this seller and this brand

Would recommend !!
So, good points first! I would recommend this set as it’s great value for money, I’m used to using Faber-Castell, which is around £180 😳 for their tin of 120 pencils, so that’s quite a huge price difference! These pencils are very soft on paper which allows you to keep colours soft or build up the intensity. There’s so many shades of colours in this tin, which is the main reason I got this one.I LOVE 😍 the tin! I’ve got so many tin’s of pens and pencils from different brands and none of them are as good as this one. You get a proper “lock-like click” when you close it so no chance of pencils falling out and breaking! So I do have a couple of minor bad point’s which is why I’ve give 4 stars rather than 5. 😅 So I’ve taken some pinks and blueish greens as I wanted to see if they had lots of differing shades or if they were the same colours. So with the blueish greens, you can see by the lead that they look identical, and they do have similar names but on paper you can see they are different colours, I like that they are similar because you can blend colours really well with these. But with the pinks I took 2 from 1 tray and 2 from a separate tray and all 4 are practically identical but #81 and #34 look exactly the same. (I did 3 cross hatching layers on every colour test) also pencil #34 has a chip in the bottom of it which looks slightly water damaged which is a little disappointing. 😞This may not bother anyone else but I hate the way the colours are laid out, in the picture Castle arts have provided on amazon they look very aesthetically appealing but they aren’t in that order in the tin, they’re in numerical order. 😕Overall I would recommend getting this tin as the pencils are really good quality, especially for the price! 😍🥳 There were a few down points but they really are just me being nit picky so those thing might not bother someone else 🤷🏻♀️
