Q: Do these printers have curcuit board issues? I was planning to buy one but my friend told me they are having some problems... is this true?

Thus far no problem, worked right out the box. And still running. I have printed over 2k pictures and constantly use the 2x6-x2 photobooth prints

Q: Is this compatible with AirPrint?

Not natively, but it is possible (and very easy) with the addition of a DNP WCM2 Wireless Print Module or similar compatible device to make it work.
