Q: Does this only punch single tabs or can you make a double sided tab that folks down the center and attaches to both sides of a piece of paper?

It punches single tabs into a piece of paper so everything is of one piece, which I personally find more durable than attaching a folded-down tab. The punch board allows you to choose the position and length of the tab to create custom-sized folders or planner dividers. For even more durability, you can also use poly report covers instead of paper (I have used the punch board on 300 mic and 500 mic sheets).

Q: Can you make 8x11 dividers with this? I am new to all this. I want to make dividers for my daughter for school.

Although it works best on smaller size paper, it can be done on 8x11 1/2; needvto maneuver a little.

Q: How many sheets can this punch before the blades run out?

Dear Jamie - The blades can cut through 2000 cuts and probably more. This is the answer from the manufacture of the Tab Punchboard.

Q: Will this cut chip board?

Definitely not. It has a very tiny blade for paper such as cardstock.
