are the handle grips odor free?

I’ve never had a problem with them developing an odor. Your hands are not always on the ‘grips’ anyway: sometimes it’s between your knees or ankles. Theoretically, you should be gripping the ring lightly or even with the palm of your hands. Fwiw, the handle grips are a squishy substance - not hard plastic.

What is this made of? Looking for steel & rubber vs. plastic.

It feels like a metal ring (it is covered with a rubbery sleeve); the pads/handles are a very thick pad.
