BALLERINA: FROM THE WORLD OF JOHN WICK Bluray + DVD + Digital

This is a very entertaining and well-made action movie. The grenade and flamthrower sequences will go down as some of the best put to film. It expands on the lore of the John Wick universe while also establishing a new character with their own story of revenge. Unlike John Wick, which enters the world of a fully trained assassin, this film highlights the training process of assassins, the tests they face, the tattoos they earn, etc. I like the fact that it exists within the same universe, but I wish John Wick could have just been left out of it. By attaching that character to this film, everyone wants to use that as a target to say this movie is somehow less. It is just different. It was an absolute riot. Once the second act starts, it flies by. I was never bored, and I was shocked at how fast the two hours moved by on the screen—tons of fun.

Outstanding movie. Lionsgate hit a grandslam with this film. Excellent in every way. Ana De Armas is awesome in this stand alone story. She is totally believable in her role, and her unique style is fantastic. She is such a GREAT actress! Action, violence, and a new story line makes this film brilliant and enjoyable to watch. If you're an intense John Wick fan like I am, this movie will absolutely satisfy you. I hope they make a Ballerina: Chapter 2. Remember that it's rated R, so the box office success will be slow, but I believe it will come. It's a sleeper film, like the first John Wick movie. The director, Len Wiseman, really brings the main character to life, and that's a home run. With Ana De Armas and her excellent talent, it's a grandslam! I can't wait for the release to Prime Video.

He's my action hero. Love his movies

I think the movie is between 3 and 4 stars, will give it 4.I saw it last night in the movie theater. It was fast paced, packed with action and yet not as captivating as John Wick is.I am a major John Wick fan so I am biased. Was good but comparing it to John Wick- meh just okay.Spoilers:I liked the fact that they used scenes and lines very similar to ones from the John Wick movies and her theme song is inspired by his.I like the appearance of some familiar characters from John Wick.I liked John’s appearance and the fight scenes. I’m glad they gave him the credit in these scenes.Obv there is an open ending and I assume based on how well it does there is a chance for a second, third, etc.I do feel that the character needed a bit more character development before going rogue on her own.I disliked the fact that I saw one character from John wick one, again, as a different character here. Most people won’t remember but like I said I am a fan and I watched his movies several times. So that detail was not so great for me.The plot itself is okay but not great. We are introduced to some other group of bad guys but they don’t get very much background. Also when the random guy attacks her (after she finishes a job) why? We never get an explanation for that. And not much detail about her family although in the beginning they introduce her family as an important thing. ESP her father.Also when she gets to the ruska roma the kiri kiri monster ( or whatever it was called/spelled) - meh let John be the Baba yaga without bringing other mithology creatures into play - not every assassin needs to be one, lol.Overall okay.I expect some of these new groups of villains into the next John Wick movie - I heard there will be another one, not sure about that though. We’ll see.

Ana De Armas really gives it her all in this! She gets slammed stabbed thrown kicked punched all over the place!She is not overpowered like most female led action moviesBallerina is pretty much nonstop action!Also I'm glad she is not just a clone of John Wick!For example she was just frying enemies left & right with the flamethrower lolGoing to see it again with friends & family!!

Saw this movie today great movie! Not trying to over hype it but really was an enjoyable movie. Definitely preordering it.
