Hi Ryan! Yes, the new formula is still in use. It's almost identical to the old formula. The two major differences are the addition of CPC, a chemical clinically proven to kill the germs linked to gingivitis, and improving the flavor with xylitol, a natural sweetener with proven oral health benefits. We understand that change can be difficult for some, and have seen many of the negative reviews and understand their concerns. Q: why include PEG-40????

PEG-40 is used to increase viscosity. Polyethylene glycol of different lengths are used all over medicine. For example, PEG-3350 is MiraLAX.

Q: Does this help remove tartar?

Yes, it helps with tartar and bleeding of the gums

Q: I know it says clean mint, but does that mean this is peppermint or spearmint?

It’s a very light spearmint flavor.
