Q: Does this have aspertine?

Yes, it contains aspartame. When I decided to reduce my intake of artificial sweeteners, I began using Tru brand crystalized fruit. Flavors your water with no artificial sweeteners or colors, but adds a good flavor to my water. It's also available through Amazon.

Q: This is $1 a box at Walmart. Am i missing something or is there evil afoot?

I wouldn’t call it evil, but I welcome the opportunity to clarify this offering from my perspective and in my humble opinion. On the surface, yes, these boxes are $1 plus tax at Walmart. I submit to you that there are other costs involved that are not being considered and instead to lane them evil is a bit premature. Let’s figure $3.30 for the cost of the product, $.65 for a box to ship them in, at least $4 to ship the item via USPS first class and Amazon tacks on 15% fees for connecting the buyer and seller and processing the transaction (transfer of funds, cost of web services, tax withholding). By the time all of this is considered and competition is factored in, any profit available to the seller is slim to say the least. So, the seller acquires the item (drives to the Walmart, fights the crowd, puts wear and tear on their car), packages and ships the item (buys the box, packing materials, printer, tape and dunnage to ship properly, pays the postage and then delivers the item to the post office (again with the car and wear and tear and crowds)), and safely delivers the product to your mailbox. On the other side of that equation, you click a button and wait patiently for the product to arrive in your mailbox. If you prefer to pay the $3.30 without consideration for all of the cost associated with the “magic” involved to make this product appear in your mailbox, please do so.
