Nice taser.
I have the older pulse taser. I liked it so I tried ordering another one but it was discontinued. Had to order a newer one and like the item.

Definitely worth the money
I purchased a cheaper alternative and regretted it. The Taser pulse is lightweight and the cartridges are good quality and consistent if you need it you know it will work.UPDATE**I've been wearing this Taser Pulse daily for a year now and no problems so far. I sometimes carry the X2 but for the most part the Pulse meets my needs. I wrote a longer review on the X2 if anyone is undecided on which one they would like. So far the battery is still good even with the monthly spark test and very little scuffing considering it stays in the holster. I noticed there were some comments on the price and all I really can say is how much is your life worth? The pulse is good for a single attacker and can be a deterrent for multiple attackers and the 30 second runtime is more than enough for you to get to safety. I would recommend for anyone who is not comfortable with carrying a firearm and would like a non-lethal alternative.

Tempted to give 4 stars
It's nearly perfect for my needs. My only concern is the body of the taser feels very cheap. I'm a small transgender girl and I feel like I could crush the handle in my grip. Also the battery/ capacitor was rattling around inside when I got it. I took the foam from the packaging and shoved that in the hole to stop the noise. Don't get me wrong, it's a good device and if it saves my life ill be eternally grateful. But if I drop it in a critical moment and it breaksl?...

Very Delicate for High Price
I bought this December 2022 and it broke in April 2023 after I dropped it one time on my floor from about 4 feet. I sent it in to Axon for repairs, and they replaced it for free within 3 weeks.Cons:Price- The only technology of value is the projectile cartridges, the gun itself is very delicate and made of cheap plastic. It's worth, on its own, $75 max. There are competitors on Amazon, and I'm sure elsewhere on the Internet, for 1/10th of the price. You're paying for the brand here for sure.Durability- After one short drop, it stopped functioning. I bought a replacement battery on Amazon, and swapped out the cartridge to no avail. I had to go to Axon's Returns website and ship it to them. The frame/gun is not durable. For $400, they needlessly made a delicate product.Capacity- you get one shot. Unlike a handgun or the Byrna SD, you get one shot with the Pulse. If you think that you may be attacked by more than one assailant, you better get a gun (check out the Sig P365 or Ruger LCP II)Pros:Weight- this thing is so light. I have a small 9mm which weighs 5 times as much as this CEW. One of the redeeming factors of the Pulse being made of cheap plastic.Peace of mind- I feel much better letting my wife carry this around than a gun. I don't keep "one in the chamber" in my handgun because of my fear that it will accidentally discharge, but this reduces my ability to react quickly to a dangerous situation. With a Pulse, you merely have to switch off the safety to use the CEW.Legality- In Texas, you cannot (even with a license-to-carry, see Section 46.03 of the Texas Penal Code) bring a gun to a bar, school (including school events such as sports), court building, prisons, hospitals, amusement parks, and some other places. This does not apply to stun guns like Taser (see DPS's website or Section 46.01(3) of the Texas Penal Code). If you're a teacher, this would be one of your only options in terms of self-defense projectiles and definitely the smallest/lightest. And if you're going to bars late at night or in seedy areas, this would also be one of your only options.

Taser Pulse Plus w/ Noonlight
Well this is perfect for my application, I am a CCW holder in the states of California and Arizona and still limited to personal protection options in some states. The states where I frequent, lacking CCW coverage allow me to carry this. I personally feel from my traning with firearms and Taser International this is a perfect solution for my needs. The unit is light, compact, very concealable, easy to operate and straight forward instructions included.I do recommend that you take a related class from a Taser Certified Instructor. Know your state and local laws and enjoy.Remember training makes everyone safer,
