LIFE SAVER
As a newbie to the raw food community, I was feeling a little overwhelmed. I had heart failure last year at 76 years. which came as a great shock as I had never been ill before. I went looking and found rawfood. I realised I needed to change my diet from cooked vegan 'junk food' which I had thought was healthy. Finding 'Raw Food Romance' has been a life saver. I didn't know where to start and was feeling overwhelmed by all the new information, and didn't know where to start until I found this book. The author has done all the work for me, the meal planning and shopping lists, even the reminders of when to soak and plan in advance. I feel so much more confident that I can do this now. It feels like I have a friend beside me. From the bottom of my heart, I thankyou.

30 day meal plan or any time plan
I've recently been researching and transitioning to a vegan and raw food lifestyle and came across Melissa's story of dramatic weight loss. In her book Raw Food Romance, she has put together a whole month of delicious meals. Preparations are well detailed,... from what food is required each day, what kitchen tools are required, making it as easy as possible to get started. I'm just beginning the plan, so can't share my results, but from what I've made so far everything is delicious. I don't feel deprived in any way with this "diet".

Absolutely love this book!
Absolutely love this book. Great for starting a raw vegan plant based diet. Even if you aren't using it as a 30 day meal plan, the recipes are fantastic. Really enjoy all the salad dressings and will certainly be using this book forever more. Looking a buying the winter recipe book now to see what other delicious recipes Lissa has to offer. Highly recommend buying this book.

Love this book
I bough the ebook version of this via Lissa's website when she was running a 25% off promotion. I have to say I absolutely love it and would pay full price for it now i've seen it. You can either follow the meal plan from start to end or pick and choose recipes as you wish. Lissa has thought the whole thing out so well and really does guide you through what to do when - if you follow it as an actual meal plan you will see that she prompts you in advance to do such things as soak nuts for later meals which is super helpful. i honestly don't think she could have done a better job. The recipes themselves are really varied and really delicious. She has some great dressings, dips and sauces to liven things up. Another great thing is that all of the recipes are oil free. This is not something I have really explored before and was really keen to see how the dressings would work and how they would taste. They taste great and I am excited at the thought of keeping away from oil as much as possible. If you want to get an idea of the dishes Lissa eats and how she puts them together i recommend her You Tube channel. You can try recipes from there for free before buying the book. I'm certainly not fully raw but would class myself as high raw and i'm definitely feeling the benefits - for me it has been a gradual step towards high raw, starting with green smoothies, then raw breakfasts, then raw lunches... onto fairly regular raw dinners now. I have quite a few raw food books and this is one of the best in my opinion.

The amount of sugar in the recipes is unbelievable. A daily intake of so many dates and bananas can not be healthy.
