Harrison’s is quite simply the best!
The item came in a fair amount of time; was running late, but then arrived 4 days before its projected new arrival date. The package and food were in good shape, and I especially liked that it came in five separate 5lb bags, vs one 25lb bag. It is easier to deal with that way, and I feel that the food stays fresh for a longer period of time.As always, Harrison’s Bird Pellets have long been considered the best nutrition by avian vets, and as an avian veterinary assistant and bird caretaker of 28 years, I stand by that claim.

Great bird food
This bird food is good for older birds and females that lay eggs. My bird LOVES it. Only wish I had, would be the size of the Course Pellet. Wish there was a "between" size from the Fine Pellet and the Course Pellet. My bird makes less mess with other varieties that are half the size of the Course Pellet. Overall great choice for bird food!

Good food for a healthy bird
Currently I am feeding my blue and gold macaw Zupreem pellets and fresh fruit and veg. She is less than 2 years old and enjoys trying new things. I have always heard very good things about Harrison's and wanted to try it out. So far she loves these new pellets right out of the bag. I have not fully switched her over as I want to use up the rest of the other food she was eating, but once she is completely out I will be feeding only Harrison's.Before making any purchase for my birds I always check into the company making the product and do some research about the product itself. Often being disappointed in the lack of information available. That is certainly not the case with Harrison's. Their website is packed full of information about their company and the products they are very proud to make as well as tips for taking care of your bird. You can also find helpful information on converting your feathered friend from other diets to Harrison'sThis product is certified organic and contains no artificial preservatives. The bag itself is made out of very strong material and has a zip lock at the top to ensure the product remains fresh in the bag. They do not recommend storing the food in another container. This is a great feature because then you don't have to have other containers to help keep the food fresh. The only downside is that this product cost more than most other foods out there. But it is well worth it. The most important thing you can do for your feathered friend is to feed it the best food you can provide.

So far, so good. The birds are actually gobbling this up! No transition from current pellets needed.
I have gotten involved with improving the diet of a relative’s two older African Grays. (20+ years each.) The pellets they’ve eaten all this time are a lesser quality corn based pellet. Upon educating myself on healthy diets required for these AG birds to live better and healthier lives, I’ve been adding veggie chop to their diets. I also want to get them off the sub-par pellet brand they’re currently on and onto an organic, high quality pellet. So, again with research on trusted parrot health sites and forums, Harrison’s kept coming up. Also T#ps brand. Long story short, the birds totally dislike the T##s brand but honestly LOVE this Harrison’s High Potency Coarse. No slow transition has been needed to this pellet at all. (Lucky us!) I’ll follow Harrison’s directions to use this product for 6 months and then switch to the Lifetime Adult after that. I look forward to seeing any possible improvements over time due to this high-quality. (I will note that your birds might not like this brand. It’s all trial and error.)

Awesome food for my African grey
The media could not be loaded. I just got my African Grey 7 weeks ago she is 5 years old. She was left in a cage with 1 toy when I bought her from a guy that had 2 Macaws and didn’t have time for her where she was left in a bedroom alone. She was eating pure junk!! I started with Harrison because I read articles that this was a great brand. I crush it in a blender and give her 2 TBLS in the am and 2 TBLS at night. I mix it with warm water and syringe feed her. I refrigerate the powdered pellets until next use. She LOVES it. I give her all kinds of fruits and veggies. She does have some seeds suitable for her. NO MORE JUNK!! She has a great life now!!! I love my Pebbles!!!

happy Birds
If they're happy, I'm happy. If it was MY food, I'd give it five stars.

My Grey loves this food!
After reading the reviews, I switched my African Grey to this brand. I was very unsure of whether she would eat it because she doesn’t like change. She loves it, the transition was smoother than I thought, and Amazon’s pricing is great.
