Perfect for homeschool
I love the world of reading books. We have gathered quite a few now. These level one books have been great fun for my child to read as part of their learning to read homeschool activities. The stories aren’t too long. We have normally completed a book in 2-3 days. Beautifully illustrated with a clear font at a suitable size for the early reader. The stories are written as simply as possible to make it at the level the child is at. There are always hints and tips in these books to aid in reading. The fact that these are Disney stories, keeps my son motivated and captivated which helps with his learning

good for reluctant readers, but harder than they seem.
these are slightly harder than they appear. i bought them for my nearly 6 year old at the end of year 1. she is on yellow-blue bookbands at school, but capable of more when interested. these books have been great at keeping her engaged, but they are much higher levels than they appear. i guessed they were around blue-orange book band difficulty, but after researching them, they are actually rated orange to purple bands...as such she has only read 2 of the books so far, but i am sure they will be books that she will come back to a lot as her confidence and ability increase.update: i have managed to find a chart that show lexile number to book band level, and the majority of these books are purple-gold book bands, which is usually late year to up to year 4 in the uk (pre pandemic, but might be quite a bit later for kids learning to read through the lockdowns).. hope this helps.

Great for kids, not for adults!
These do what they say on the tin. Really accessible (but not too easy) first readers for kids. Promote independent reading with stories the kids know and want to learn to read for themselves. Do not think you'll be reading these for bedtime stories though.. or you'll be trying to avoid it at least! They don't read well as an adult reading them. Because it's super simple it's quite stilted and large parts of the plot are skipped over. They're for kids to encourage and support reading and build confidence and in our experience they're great for that.

Great early readers
Fab early readers. My 6 year old is getting more confident at reading and enjoyed reading these to me at bedtime. Good for year 1-2 level kids who know their phonics. Still needed a bit of support with the odd word, but more engaging than the books sent home from school!

Tricky read for little one but still loves them!
Daughter loves these but quite hard for an early reader. Still loves them as she loves the princesses.

Lovely books for beginners
Lovely books for those just beginning to read. Bought this set for my grand-daughter and she cannot quite read them herself without help she really likes them and the subject matter appeals to her, encouraging her to read.
