Q: Hi folks i’m plagued by pigeons and they are determined will this stop them? thank you in advance

The apertures are in such a position that wood pigeons and collared doves we have never bother with the feeder. However, starlings do find they can attack the feeder. Due to their rough and often aggressive behaviour against other flock members they have shaken and jolted the feeder free from its mount. The plastic from which the feeder is made is quite hard and consequently has cracked and broken. So beware if you buy one if you have starlings, tie wrap the feeder on.

Q: Does it stop squirrel's from getting at seeds

This is sold as squirrel proof?! No way! The squirrels get their heads in the larger holes, tipping the seed from the centre out, either onto the ground below or into the outer ring!

Q: How do you get the top back on? I can only do three sides

Place the lid on top so green lugs are free then gentle press down and turn until lugs are under the clear edges,depending on which way you put the lid on it could be left turn or right turn,I make sure the clear edgesopen side is to my left as I can excert more pressure turning the lid to the right,they are fiddley as is the internal case but worth it to be able to wash it out,I have one standing on a tree stump filled with suet for the robin/dunnocks.

I had the same problem until I sprinkled a few mealworms just inside the feeder holes. Now they feed from it with no problem.
