Quality OEM Replacement Part
I am no beginner hack. Hobby 3D printing 10 years. Using 15 printers. My Creality K1C began seriously under extruding. Tried all the usual fixes. A Sherlock Holmes quote, "When all other clues have been eliminated, what's left must be the problem". New extruder not hard to change. Now printing better than I remember brand new. Just do it.

“Revolutionizing Precision: A Game-Changing Extruder Upgrade for the Creality K1”
Review: Creality K1 Extruder Upgrade – A Must-Have EnhancementUpgrading the Creality K1 with this new extruder has been a transformative experience for my 3D printing workflow. Right out of the box, it was clear that this extruder was engineered with precision and reliability in mind.PerformanceThe upgrade immediately resolved the occasional inconsistencies I faced with the stock extruder. With better filament grip and smoother feed control, prints now come out with sharper details and fewer layer issues. Whether working with PLA, PETG, or even flexible filaments like TPU, this extruder handled them all with ease.Ease of InstallationInstallation was straightforward, taking about 20-30 minutes. The instructions were clear, and the components fit perfectly with the Creality K1’s design, making the upgrade process hassle-free.ResultsWhat stands out most is the improvement in print quality. Layer adhesion is noticeably better, and the overall precision has increased, even on more intricate designs. The reduced clogging and under-extrusion mean I can leave longer prints unattended with confidence. Why I Love ItThis extruder upgrade has breathed new life into my Creality K1. It’s not just an enhancement—it feels like a complete performance overhaul. For someone who focuses on intricate, customer-designed devices and articulated miniatures, the difference is night and day. My print success rate has significantly improved, and the time I save on reprints alone makes this investment worth every penny.VerdictIf you’re serious about getting the best out of your Creality K1, this extruder upgrade is a no-brainer. It’s a solid, reliable addition that turns a good printer into an exceptional one. Highly recommended!

OEM part, quality replacement, easy to replace
Factory replacement part, excellent price, fit is perfect and original. Easy to install even without instructions. No issues with print quality afterwards, it cleared up the filament jamming issue I was having with the worn out part it replaced.

Doesn't fit K1 Max as advertised
This is not compatible with my K1 Max unless you modify the machine. It doesn't say this anywhere on the listing. The little plastic tube that sits between this piece and the nozzle DOES NOT FIT into this new "upgrade".Based on other reviews I'm seeing that if your machine is older than the last few years then it won't fit the k1 max.I would have given 4 stars for this issue if they had mentioned the age of the max that didn't fit... but they don't mention it anywhere.

Must have for the K1
This is a must have if you have an original K1 extruder - this fixes all the issues with under-extrusion I had.

Good Upgrade to the initial release extruder
My initial release K1 had all of the typical issues with the hotend and extruder that you could find everywhere online.I think the primary detractor to this extruder design is the PTFE tube that comes out of the bottom of it and butts up to the hotend. I think more of the extrusion issues are related to the PTFE tube not being fully aligned to the hotend.I paired this new style extruder with the Unicorn hotend found on the K1C and I couldn't be happier. This allowed me to get rid of that PTFE tube from the bottom of extruder and run the hotend directly into it. This pairing immediately solved my under extrusion issues and my K1 now prints beautifully.

Correction to a prior review
The extruder that I have received was not working because I had the connector loose/unplugged with the board. My mistake, the extruder works perfectly, and I am very satisfied with this vendor service. My apologies for my rush to review without taking the time to evaluate the problem correctly.

Does not work with early-release K1 Max
I purchased this to upgrade a K1 Max that I purchased the first week of the release, hoping that I could finally get this printer to print TPU.The extruder is supposed to have a short piece of tubing between the bottom of the extruder and the top of the hotend. The package does not include this so you need to reuse what you have. The tubing on my original one is the diameter of normal PTFE tubing but the inner diameter is very tight to prevent kinking of the filament on its way to the hotend, so it's critical. However, this tubing DOES NOT FIT the new extruder.Creality's tech support suggested switching the front covers, which I had already looked at doing.I also took the liberty of inspecting the guts of the two. They are identical in appearance with the same gears, bearings, etc. It seems like a good OEM replacement but I don't see it as an upgrade.Back to my tech support outreach: I was hoping for them to send me the correct tubing but when they suggested switching front covers, I was going to lose what I thought was actually the only upgrade to the device, which is the bowden tube fitting at the top of the extruder. This one is spring-loaded (which worked very nicely) as opposed to the two-cent part in mine that locks via the plastic clip. They are not interchangeable.I'll be returning this, and I'll research third-party upgrades (extruders and/or gears themselves) to get my printer to where it needs to be. Save yourself the grief, and if you see the blue tube exiting your extruder take a hard pass on this one.
