it is plastic and a bit smaller than we expected

Q: Would this container work well in a cooler with pasta salad? Would it keep out the water?

Honestly, I think the water might seep into the container. I think these containers are best suited for things as listed like cookies, brownies, brown sugar, raisins...the terra cotta insert is soaked in water to keep dried goods fresher longer.

Didn’t work like I thought

They are a nice size and they seem like good quality. But I put my fresh baked cooled cookies in them and a day and half they were not like just taking them out of oven. I followed the directions to a T. So I am disappointed.

Worth the money

It’s amazing! I love to bake and I don’t eat them very quickly. I had homemade chocolate chip cookies in the container for two weeks and they were so fresh the entire time. It was totally worth the cost.
