Very Nice and Useful !
Lens was purchased as a replacement for my EF 24-70 II f/2.8.I use this lens with the EOS R5 camera mostly for plays, musical productions and other low light, indoor events. The lens is very sharp and focus is almost instantaneous, the extra reach compared to the EF 24-70 is very much appreciated- I don't have to switch lenses as often as I did in the past. The lens is fairly heavy but not overly so and for me, it has not been an issue.I don't currently do videography but it's nice to know if/when I do, I have a good combo of camera body and lens to start correctly.Due to the high cost, I sat on the fence for quite some time before I finally decided to purchase this lens. Hindsight being 20/20, my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!

If there was a lens that could do it all- The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 has completely streamlined my workflow—replacing three lenses and becoming a staple for my studio, portrait, wedding, and event work.✔ Versatile Zoom Range – Covers everything from tight portraits to wide event shots.✔ Constant f/2.8 Aperture – Great for low light, smooth bokeh, and subject isolation.✔ Tack-Sharp & Fast AF – Crisp details with quick, silent autofocus.✔ Pro Build Quality – Durable, weather-sealed, and built to last. This lens is worth every penny for professionals who need reliability, flexibility, and top-tier image quality in one package. Highly recommend!

I love this lense!
Great for run-and-gun productions! Excellent stabilization and smooth zoom. A bit heavy, but worth it.

This great Canon lens replaces four to five prime lenses!
This great Canon lens replaces four to five prime lenses! It performs admirably! I have used it for weddings and events and left my camera with all the primes behind. Sure it is heavy, slightly heavier than a 70-200mm f 2.4, but with a monopod it is usable. It also makes an excellent video lens.

Paired it with the Canon C400
The media could not be loaded. This lens lives on my Canon C400. I mainly use it for event videography. It’s good for photography as well but not my go to.The best feature is its focal range with the ability to open up to a 2.8 aperture, making it ideal for a low light situation. I’ve used it to film weddings, interviews, documentaries, and athletics. In some cases I have noticed slight vignetting on the edges when I’m at 24mm on my full frame Canon C400 but that is easily fixed in post.

Is it worth it???? You betcha!
It's big. It's heavy. It's expensive. It totally ROCKS! I'd had the 24-105 f4 for years. Both in the DSLR version and now the Mirrorless. The old 21-105 was small. It is lightweight. It was inexpensive. It served the purpose. After much hemming and hawing, I decided to splurge on this lens. OMG - I'm in LOVE! It's fast and feels good in my hands, although still heavy. But I am used to hauling around the 70-200 2.8, which is comparable in size and weight. It's so sharp and quick to focus. That single f/stop of exposure is so worth it. Even though that one stop increase was about $2,000, I still find it worth it. I have been a professional photographer for 40 years, so I have been through my share of lenses - from the film days to the mirrorless days. This may be my favorite lens of all time.

One lens for all
At the beginning I wasn't sure to keep this lens cause it is big and it was weird get close to subjects during events, but once I get used to that (pretty soon) I decided to keep it because it really can be my only lens to go for 90% of my gigs. Most of the time now I leave only with one camera and this lens. I can do headshots, parties, fashion, food, work perfectly in low light thanks to the IS, it is very sharp, overall create gorgeous images. I know about some problems at 24mm and 105mm but honestly with the automatic lens correction at the end is not a big deal. It is also well built, waterproof, super versatile. It's pricey but it can really be the only lens you need.

Superb quality!
Quite possibly the best lens EVER. Yes heavy, but could be the only lens you need to carry everywhere
