I don't know about the "knockoff" question, but the flavors I bought still smell good, the only issue I see is that they are slightly evaporated already, probably have been sitting in a warehouse for awhile. But I was buying what I can't find in stores anymore, so I didnt mind.

How long does it last

Depends on size of area and the air flow. The one in my living room lasted less time then the one i put on a shelf in a small alcove. Also depends on how much you open the cone up.
