For the people saying not worth the money! Read on

This is absolutely worth it's money!Yes, battery holder could be better but if you just take 1 minute to remove the battery and push the holder down before you Re insert the battery, it's problem solved. Also, on the windows, usually you can have them slightly open but still locked, you can do this with this sensor however you have to make the magnetic stronger. You can get the dot magnets off amazon, they are very cheap and very strong. Bear in mind that most sensors are like this as the magnets on them aren't strong enough to be so far apart without triggering. After this, you have a great little zigbee door sensor for a fractikn of the price of most devices. If using smartthings, change the device type to something that runs locally, for example Orvibo Contact Sensor. This does improve things, specially speed. For the "eating battery ones" zigbee is amazing but has its limitations. If it is too far from the hub, it will eat away batteries. If it disconnects, it's even worse as it keeps trying to find the hub. This can be sorted if you have smartthings by adding repeaters like the Samsung plugs and you have a plus of being able to monitor energy consumption of that plug as well. If using the sonoff Bridge you can, buy a aeotec and swap to smartthings as its much better or just get an extra sonoff Bridge and place them in the right places around the house. I did use the bridge at first and one was enough to give me coverage around the whole house even tho it was placed in my comms cab and dealing with the WiFi interference from all my access points.I have had to replace 3 units, that I had purchased from ebay! They were cheaper and I don't know why but not the same as the ones here on amazon as I ended up having to replace them all.Today I use them all around my house to control my thermostats, to welcome me home 🙈, turn some lights on, vacuum the entrance when someone comes in and also on my alarm. For their price, at less than 1/3 of the price of most on the market I really don't understand the complaining. Are there better sensors on the market? Yes, there are, it is up to you if you want to buy the £10 ones or the £30/£40/£50 ones. Sonoff is a great company and produces some great devices at really affordable prices. And as far as simple door sensors go (without vibration and or temperature measurement and or light sensors etc) these are amazing for their price.

Simple, Responsive Zigbee Switch/Button

I bought the SONOFF SNZB-01 Zigbee Wireless Switch to integrate into my Home Assistant setup which proved simple and straight forward. It is a reliable and cost-effective smart home solution. The Zigbee connectivity ensures stable communication with Home Assistant, allowing users to control lights, appliances, or scenes effortlessly. The switch's responsiveness is commendable, providing instant feedback. The device's compatibility with Home Assistant enhances automation possibilities, enabling me to create intricate smart home routines. While its simplicity may limit advanced functionalities, the SONOFF SNZB-01 proves to be a valuable addition for anyone seeking an efficient, user-friendly smart switch solution within their Home Assistant ecosystem.

Good when it works but randomly stops which is extremely frustrating

So I bought this for one of their SONOFF ZBMINI-L switches for my garage. The goal was to have the switch turn on lights when a motion detector (philips hue indoor) detects motion. It was a massive pain to detect the SONOFF ZBMINI-L but once I got it working Alexa integration was a breeze. The issues started to occur within a matter of days - light not responding, action failed for no reason. I would walk into my garage and the light would stay off..restarting the hub sometimes fixes it but this should not be breaking so easily. I repositioned the hub right beside my garage so there is no issue there and wifi coverage is 2x the size of my house. If it was consistently working 5* but unfortunately it has broken a number of times in the last 60 days so hard to fully recommend because things like this become more frustrating when you know it should be working but isn't.My solution for now is going to be using a smart plug to reboot the hub once every 12 hours which isn't how this hub should work but unfortauntely that's where I am at and with not many other brand providing a netural wire switch like the SONOFF ZBMINI-L I am kind of stuck.*EDIT* the above doesn't work so downgraded to 1*...this is anti-smart...more hassle than it's worth and sadly many products operate like this all in the spirit of making money.

Great devices, easy to use, great battery life.

I've got 5 of these spread around the house all reporting into Home Assistant via a zigbee usb dongle. Super simple to setup and my oldest one is about 4 months old and the battery level is still reporting good.I've had one instance where humidity wasn't reporting but that was fixed by resetting and re-adding into HA. So that was likely a HA issue. There's some variance between readings if you put them side by side but for the type of sensor it uses this is quite common, you can account for it HA if you wanted but for my needs It doesn't make much of a difference we're talking 0.1c-0.8c difference from what i noticed. All in all good value for money, i've got several SONOFF sensors and they're great. I tried the slightly cheaper Ikea zigbee compatible ones and they are garbage, all stopped working after a couple of days, maybe its my setup but I'm sticking with SONOFF for now as they work great.

No frills sensor, no frills price!

I have a couple of the Sonoff contact sensors connected via ZHA in Home Assistant, this motion sensor appears to be the same basic case and design. I find they can be fiddly to get connected the first time, but once connected they are responsive and reliable unless at the edge of the signal range. No frills e.g. temperature sensor and the build quality isn’t what you’d call premium, but neither is the price. I had to fit a new battery in this one to pair it successfully but it’s the same battery (2450) as the Smartthings motion sensor (V1) it replacesd. That died after 5-6 years and the Sonoff responds as quick if not quicker than its predecessor.
