Q: Are the screw holes really 1/2” in diameter as shown on the schematic of the hinge?

No, the holes are standard size used on hinges in the US. I installed them on a bedroom door which was a simple process of removing the old one, installing the new one. Lube them good with WD40 before installation, it will prevent them from squeaking.

Q: How man hinges will you need for a 2'-6" hollow core door?
