The descriptions for these don't indicate how much one can hold, so I probably used more than I needed along the bottom. I was hanging two "bare" mirrors side by side. Once I had all the bottom pieces in place, I set the mirror on them and used tape to temporarily hold the top to the wall. Then I was able to carefully fit the pieces on the top and mark the holes to drill. Despite measuring carefully and using a level, I had one that was slightly out of place, and I had to adjust the mirror afterwards. So take your time and be as accurate as possible. And BTW, despite some swearing at the time, I have never noticed the slight imperfection since! They're just not very noticeable once everything is mounted--your eye says oh yeah, standard mirror mounting hardware!

jI was hanging plexiglass pieces 30"X8" and these worked very well for my application. They are small in size whick suited me because I hope to conceal the glass. If you have a heavy item to hang, these may not be the best for your job.

Used for a heavy mirror and had to use less than I thought I would
