Q: Is this tool also useful for re-seating the vinyl lip under the siding above it? I have a strip of siding that has partially popped out.

Q: Anyone tried using this on double Dutch lap panels? I've tried 2 other brands and they've broken under hand pressure leverage.

We tried and were not successful with this tool. We were not trying to save the old siding and had better luck using good basic carpenter tools.

Did the job

My mother's house suffered storm damage and needed 2 pieces of vinyl siding replaced. I watched some videos and they all recommended getting one of these tools. This one seemed to be one of the better made ones. Since I'm not a pro it took a little time but I figure this tool easily saved her a couple of hundred dollars over the cost of hiring a contractor.

Works Great

I used this tool to repair a section of vinyl siding I had accidently separated off the starter strip with a rake while trying to do some lawn work...Took me a couple minutes, and some coordinating of my hands, pulling down with one and pushing in with the other, but I got it...Took about 3/4 tries, but I got it...Would recommend this tool, for sure!!

I to remove a piece of vinyl siding to install an electrical outlet and this popped the piece back into place easily with no damage to the lock tab edge.
