A Game-Changer for Thick, Wavy Hair
I have VERY thick, wavy hair and have always used heat protectant sprays, most recently from DryBar. However, I recently read that balms are better for thick hair, so I decided to try R+Co Hot Spell Thermotech Blowout Balm. All I can say is WOW.I used this balm for the first time last night, and my hair feels noticeably smoother and less fried. I blow out my hair to straighten it about 1-2 times a week, and I immediately noticed that the ends of my hair felt less fried and straw-like. I think I just need to work on mastering how much to use. It doesn't feel greasy necessarily, but I can tell I may have used a little too much. As other reviews mentioned, a little goes a long way!The smell is not overwhelming and reminds me of shampoo. This product is well worth the money, and I am definitely switching to this from now on!

Wow, heat protection that works
Love this and use it every time I blow out my shoulder length, fine, wavy, and highlighted hair. If your ends are getting wrecked from heat styling - get this! Save your lovely hair.

LOVE!!!
My hair has damaged ends, which were not terrible until I used another de-frizzing product by another company - it product caused my hair to feel like straw. I tried leave in conditioners (High Dive/Waterfall), as well as conditioning masks, which all helped, but I could still feel the dryness. I made an appointment to finally bite the bullet and cut my hair. At the same time, I had purchased Hot Heat, but had low expectations that it would do much.Wow - I was so wrong. After 2 uses, I cancelled my hair cut because Hot Heat has made my hear feel and look very healthy. I still used High Dive/Waterfall along with Hot Heat and I could not be happier with the results! I’ve been using it 1.5 months without any issue (I’ve even received compliments on my hair - how great it looks). I’m about 1/2 through the bottle, and use 12 pumps per wash (my hair is about 3-4” below my armpit; once I actually get my hair cut in 3 months, I’ll use way less).2 notes…1) Not a huge fan of the pump - it is tight when pushing down, but loose when it is moved side-to-side, so it is not uncommon to be mid pump down, and hove the nozzle spin. Not a deal breaker, but whatever.2) Not a fan of the name…it is not as memorable as other names, and have to go through other guesses before I get to the right one…Heat Wave? No, implies a specific to a hair type…Hot Flash? No, implies women of a certain age…Hot Zone? No, implies conflict…oh wait, that’s right…Hot Spell. I mean, Sweet Heat or Sweet Heat Relief was right there! Or what about Hot Hot Hot!!! and colab with The Cure. I don’t know…just not a fan of “Hot Spell.”
