I use a lip brush then blot, the colour is gorgeous and stays on, it's a great product

Q: What is the actual colour of ‘clear’? Confused as there is a picture of a pinky colour.

It is confusing but if you read the description it explains it is 'colour pigments suspended in a clear gel base'. It's basically a normal lipstick in terms of appearance and colour, but it's the base they use to contain the colour that is 'clear' giving a nice finish on the lips. It's a lovely lipstick! Hope that helps ;)
