I used these Non-slip Carpet Stair Treads on carpet stairs (not on wood stairs!).In order to assure safety and get good adhesion I used "Sugarman Creation" - Double Sided Carpet Tape. It holds excellent!. One roll 120 yards, 2" width, $6. Each tread was fully covered (4ea x 30").The tape is a little stiffer than other junkie tapes. No messy job with this one.

Our dog went blind and we ordered these in a panic to help her navigate the stairs better. I was worried they wouldn’t stick or would not be secure - but they are great! Easy to cut down if needed, peel the clear plastic off and they stick on and hold tight but can be easily peeled back off and reapplied. Our stairs are painted and they stick great. We also ordered more and the mat to use around the house (laminate wood type flooring stuff), to help her identify where she is and it works great. Easy to vacuum over and remove if you need to, and absolutely made her more confident in navigating the house. We find it’s nicer and easier for us going up and down the stairs too, and for our senior cat and other dog! Wish we got these ages ago!

These are definitely slip resistant, fit the size of normal stair length, super soft, and great quality! Slightly pricey but they don’t move! I will say it says that they’re removable and washable - we haven’t washed them but we did take them off of one set of stairs and moved them and they don’t stick AS well, sometimes lifting up. But they still stay on when we vacuum them! They definitely provide ease and comfort for our pup walking down the stairs too 🩷

I cut out a template to place them evenly on each step. They went on easy and add a degree of warmth and quietness to the steps. My dog hasn’t tried them yet as he is on vacation.

My dog is diabetic and has lymphoma, so he's become rather weak in his legs and was doing a lot of slipping on my hardwood floors. I wanted something to provide him some traction throughout the house that wasn't permanent and wouldn't break the bank. These treads, while meant for stairs, were perfect for this task. While he still slips in between them, at least they are there to stop him from slipping too much and hurting himself, which was the purpose. They are soft to walk on, and they stay in place, so they did exactly what we needed.

We just completed a renovation in a very beautiful home. To cap off the year of hard work, we looked high and low for these exact stair treads for our spiral staircase. It was a very long search. Difficult to locate treads without thick hems around them that we could cut through to fit the special around of a spiral staircase. If we could find a set like these, they were ridiculously overpriced and we just weren’t going to pay it. These were exactly what we were looking for and they are at a reasonable price so we bought them immediately. They look fantastic on the stairs (black on brown)—just as good as the ones with hems. We’ve had them on the stairs now for a couple of weeks and they have stayed in place just as they were the day we put them down. So we’d definitely recommend them.

Pros: affordable, super easy to “install”, nice material, arrived quickly, looks way better than expectedCons: none yet (will report back in durability later if they do not hold up)I bought these because my dogs were slipping down the hardwood stairs. I had done research on fancier options but I was honestly too lazy to get the measuring tape out and didn’t want to spend too much money on this. I bought these expecting it to look super cheap and horrible, but at a $40 price point I wouldn’t care (and I especially wouldn’t care if it helped my dogs walk on the stairs easier) but these actually look pretty nice! These arrived in the evening and I had it all laid on the stairs within 5-10 min. It was soooo easy. I saw some other carpet options where it is actually a sticky adhesive and you have to very carefully install them and use other tools to make sure it looks perfect but I hated the idea of all that effort. Also those made me nervous that they would say it’s “safe for hardwood/vinyl flooring” but then when you take them off you are left with residue or damage. So I was really excited about these because they are not sticky at all but somehow stay in place 100%. Because these are fresh out the box in these photos you may see a couple spots in the middle where it looks like it’s popping up, well it is but it’s because that’s where they were folded in the box upon delivery. I think that after some time being walked on it will flatten out great. I also didn’t clean the stairs before installing them. If I would have vacuumed and mopped first they might not have this issue. Anywho, even with my janky install they don’t move, and you won’t trip on them, but if you are suuuper observant and picky the middle bump may bug you. I love that you can easily lift them up and move them if you need to fix the alignment when installing. I think I read that you can even wash them?! I’m nervous to try that so I may just hand wash or spot treat them if necessary.

the sticking backing is not as strong as I would like it to be.. however they did work for me
