What a super little friend of a book to make you focus in small but impacting ways in just 10 minutes a day! Full of bite-size “experiments” which actually should all be attempted and incorporated into daily life, and can be so easily and quickly reached for in those moments in need-because we all need a bit of gentle guidance and permission to have just 10 minutes a day to do what’s necessary, even if that’s just sitting quietly..So easy to read, whether cover to cover or as a pick up guide or reminder, it’s like listening to the author sitting opposite and chatting to you like a friend/coach, with understanding, compassion, and with open and non-judgemental advice. If you don’t try, how will you know, is a great message in this book! With such subjects as boundary forming, making choices, forming good habits, giving allocated time to plan, (and to worry!), starting heart-sink projects or pieces of work with just 10 minutes a day (making the fear of starting them less burdensome!), and general physical and mind decluttering, are amongst the 31 tips I have taken away after reading this, and I have no doubt I will continue to pick this book up to remind me of the wisdom it has provided - whilst I already do put some into practice, I have already started and considered several others! Give it a read-if you take one thing away from it then it is worth it! (But guaranteed you will take more than that!).

I LOVE this book!Gabrielle’s warm, compassionate tone encourages you to try these simple yet hugely effective wellbeing practices.When I’m feeling in need of a little support I pick up this book and choose something at random. It reminds me that taking just ten minutes for yourself can make a BIG difference to your day. Gabrielle’s suggestions (experiments) are practical, actionable and can be built into your day, making them realistic to keep up.I have many self development books(!) but this is one that I come back to time & time again due to its accessibility and gentle encouragement. It’s a hug in book form. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone!! 5 STARS!!

This book felt like a warm hug, comforting, reassuring and soothing. It is wonderful!
This is a gem of a book. I treated myself to this book and took myself off for a self-care day at a spa to read it. The writing is thought-provoking, whilst also being easy to understand and digest. The daily 10-minute assignments are all brilliant and can be actioned straight away. I shortlisted my favourite and have implemented some small changes into my daily routine already. I love how much choice there was and how intelligent and thoroughly researched the suggestions were. I also loved that the tone of the book was so invitational and that it felt as though I had so much choice and autonomy, rather than being 'told' what to do. I will come back to this book many times and have gifted it to people that I love. It would make a gorgeous gift for anyone who is interested in personal development, as well as for anyone who wants to create small but meaningful shifts in the tone of their daily lives.

Easy to read and experiment with!
Reading this book is like having a very supportive coaching conversation, the style of writing is like Gabrielle Treanor is in the room with you. The book is full of straightforward 10 minute activities/experiments you can do to positively affect your wellbeing - they are called experiments because you can try them out to see if they work for you. Some of the things I was already doing like listening to calming music on my drive home, I knew that it helped me to decompress from the day but reading about doing this as one of the experiments helped me to consciously think about how this was a positive step to improving my wellbeing. Each experiment has a theory section before the practice which really helped me to see why these practices are beneficial to do. I read the book daily in order, but it can be read in any way - dip in and out and try different experiments, keep a log of which work best for you (there is a space to do this in the book), even open to a random page and see what you get! This book is well worth reading and i got a lot from it.

Taking small, manageable steps to create sustainable change
As a person who has rarely managed to make it more than halfway through a personal development book without getting overhwelmed and giving up, this one has restored my faith. The concept of committing to just 10 minutes a day is immediately appealing, as is the fact you can work through the steps/ideas at your own pace. The writing is warm and engaging, with plenty of personal stories and insights which make the author seem reassuringly relatable. While it's the opposite of a quick-fix, it still engages with the idea of 'quick', taking small steps and building on them to create healthier habits over time. While I'm not overly time-poor, I am neurodivergent so this makes it feel significantly more accessible and less overwhelming. I also love the fact it's structured as a series of experiments, largely because there's no right and wrong in an experiment. You do it, note the outcome, and draw conclusions rather than judgments. The book is presented in a way that gives you the freedom and flexibility to do this. It also gives you a sense of having accomplished something in ten minutes - a big plus in itself for anyone who struggles with their mental health. Overall, it's an enjoyable read, with practical ideas which are manageable and easy to adjust to your individual needs.

Wonderful inspiring read!
I am not a big reader but this book has got me hooked!I dip in and out when needed & have gathered some useful self help tips! Would recommend to anyone!

If you buy one wellness book in 2024 make it this one!
This book is one I loved and am gifting to friends and colleagues. It really does what it says on the tin and takes under 10 minutes to play around with the well evidenced, actually helpful experiments.If you want something doable and effective this is it.I loved the layout, it’s really easy to dip into and get going and the takeaways for each experiment are bitesized gems of wisdom.
