Berkey Shower Filter with Massaging Shower Head - Reduces up to 95% of chlorine

We absolutely love our Big Berkey drinking water filter, so we wanted to try this shower filter. I wasn't crazy about the look of it, but I am very happy with it. It improved our water pressure and feels like a cleaner softer shower. The smell is different after a shower, no chemical smell that I began to really notice once I educated myself on breathing in the chlorine vapors during a regular shower. I also purchased the vita bath tabs to remove chlorine from mine and babies bath water as Berkey does not have an option for bath. For the price this is a fantastic product. We are very happy with it and would buy more for our showers.

Great piece! Quality constructed product.Covers a wide range of filtration and eliminates mold and fungus!The part where the silver band is around the center of the filter leaks slightly, but this may be due to installation. (Unfortunately I wasn't there when it was installed so I can't say for sure...lol)It's a great feeling to know that I'm not breathing in Chlorine vapors anymore when I shower (nor absorbing the toxic chlorine through my skin), and my hair is super shiny and soft since I started using it.It has a perfectly even flow of water and I find it very appealing to not have to frequently change or clean/sanitize my shower curtain :)Tall folk: Keep in mind this brings the traditional shower head down a couple of inches.

This is the first filtered shower head I have used that doesn't slow the flow down to a "leaking pipe" speed. It's actually a bit too fast for my taste, but I can always put a different shower head on. Water smells much better and now I can feel more trusting about the water that soaks me daily.For the money, this product is very good. I'll have to see how long the filter lasts, but so far so good.I wish it filtered fluoride out too, but the chlorine was my main concern. (I know the smaller pored ceramic filters would make the flow about a drop per minute).I installed this in about 2 minutes; my Teflon tape didn't need replacing. Just hand tightened on.If you have a low shower head already, this will make you hunch. One of my showers is tall the other is pretty short. I'll have to decide how to make this work for the shorter shower next. Possibly can use a hose/showerhead so the showerhead is up higher. I'll update the review if and when I do that.

I had to return bc the product was definitely already used. It was disappointing. No photos bc my husband had me package it up the same day and send it back bc of how much we paid.

Works as advertised

It dose it's job well!!! I got this for my family,but mainly for my 2 year old son who has sensitive skin. In "regular water" my son gets small rashes, achene, and dry skin! Short after I installed this system it has but those issues under control and it also has helped me with my achene breakouts. After a shower I feel rejuvenated! and clean. I have to thank Alex Jones for the introduction to there products all those years ago! I suggest that all there products are worth every Pennie!

If I had known that the Berkey Shower Filter could be installed with my hand held wand and shower head, I would not have purchased the unit that had the Massaging Shower Head. However I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the filter portion was to install. I just removed the portion of the hand held unit that was attached to the pipe coming out of the wall and screwed in the filter after coating the threads on the pipe with plumbers teflon tape. I then attached my hand held unit, along with the bracket that holds my shower head, to the other end of the Berkey Filter unit. I can only assume that the filter is filtering out the bleach and other non-desirables from my water. Really no way to tell as I believe the instructions said the water was not potable, so I did not try to drink some to see if the taste was different.

I have bought 2 of these now. For different homes. I trust my hair and skin to this filter. My hair immediately improved in texture and i take long baths i fill up my tub with this fellow only. Keep up the good quality and AESTHETIC! Because it's also elegant and nice looking.
