Versatile small tripod, good for camera or smartphone
With smartphones becoming the camera of choice in many instances, a need to hold that phone in a given position becomes a necessity. This little, about a foot high, adjustable tripod is great for smartphones, and likely can hold a small camera as well. The tripod arrived in three boxes, the tripod itself, a gimbal mount, and the smartphone clip. Unpacking and assembling took only a few minutes. The tripod is a multi-joined flexible stand that is topped by a ¼ inch screw, a standard for camera mounting. For any but a heavy camera, there is a gimbal mount that screws onto the tripod screw, which provides a ball joint to turn and position the mounted camera. There is a knob to secure the gimbal in the desired position.Atop the gimbal sits a smartphone clamp, to use that smartphone as a fixed camera. The clamp easily accommodated my Samsung phone in a simple case, it looks as though it would accommodate most phone. The jaws are 2½ inches apart closed, opening to about 3½ inches fully opened. The holder swivels, with click stops at full portrait and landscape orientation. There is a provided Allen wrench to tighten the hinge of the smartphone holder.Attached by a ring to the top of the tripod is a carabiner type clip, with the suggested use of attaching the tripod to a backpack or such. The price is in line with many such tripods on the market. Overall, a very nice product.

Flexible and Sturdy, But Bulky
Overall, a good tripod at a good value. This is a very strong and flexible tripod. I really like how I can shift each joint as required to get the camera exactly how I want on any surface. The joints hold their position well, but don't think about having a very heavy lens on the camera and expect it to stay in place with extreme horizontal extensions. I have a 70-200 2.8 lens that is over 2lbs. It holds my camera in a traditional 30-40 degree tripod position. But if I need a leg to be fully horizontal because of an unusual surface area, then it will start to flex and I get worried and reposition it before I risk my camera and lens.It also comes with a hex key to remove individual joints. I put that in the nice-to-have category that I could care less about. I will not be removing and replacing individual joints. The great value of this tripod is the flexibility so I don't have to do that. The main negative is that this is not small or lightweight. It is to be expected considering it offers sturdiness and flexibility. But the bulk is a factor when I think about carrying it around. I have to want to bring it with me because I know I will use it.

Absolutely awesome, and versatile, tripod with tons of uses!
I do have a stand of sorts for my Samsung Galaxy A42 smart phone. The problem is that it sits pretty low on my desk. I usually end up just propping it up on something else in order to use it for videos, webcams, or any other myriad of things that I use my phone for. This tripod is a life saver! It can sit high up if the need calls for it, or the super flexible legs can have it sit quite low as well. My phone is pretty wide, but this stand holds it just fine, even in its case! Now, instead of having to look down at my camera while talking with folks in a video chat, I can actually look straight ahead and see them face to face (so to speak). The awesome flexibility of the legs, and the swivel mount with a tilting head, has greatly improved my viewing enjoyment! A side note plus of this tripod is that it looks amazing with the contrasting silver, and black, on it. The rubberized feet hold it in place, even at odd angles on irregular surfaces. I used it the other day by mounting it on a stepped platform, but after getting the legs positioned, it was straight and level to go from there. Heck, even the phone holder can tilt 90 degrees if you wanted to go at a wide angle. You'd be hard pressed to find an angle that this stand won't work at!

It can be contorted into any position, and the phone clip rotates independently
The media could not be loaded. This is an interesting small tripod that can be contorted into almost any position for up-close photography. The three legs each have five articulated sections, and each leg is attached into a base with an articulated joint. It is sturdy and well-made. Following are some of the features I really liked:Regardless of how the legs are positioned (within reason) the tripod is stable. On top of the base there is a gimbal with a locking thumb screw to position the phone clip mechanism. The head of the phone clip rotates 360° vertically and swivels 180° horizontally, independent of the tripod legs and/or gimbal. This allows you to make minor adjustments to the phone without repositioning the entire tripod. The phone clip is easily removed from the gimbal and can be mounted on a tripod for general photography, giving the same adjustment benefits. The only negative to my review is a caution: the phone clip doesn't seem to like thick cases, so check its retention over your lap first.I like this tripod. Although this was a free product for testing, after testing it, I will state that I would buy another if I lost it.

It's ok
This stand is nice great to have around and convenient for out doors but when I put my phone on it, the top is no longer sturdy.
