Q: What are the exact dimensions of the platform for the 2000lb cart? It looks like the dimensions in the listing include the pole sockets.

The dimensions do include the pole slots. However I did not keep the product as it arrived with out wheels.

Q: How does this cart run on dirt and grass? Will it get stuck and hard to move and turn?

Have not tried this on dirt or grass. Smoothe travel on hard surfaces.

Q: How much does the base weigh with the handles removed? I need to lift it into a van.

I would say under 10 lbs, without the handles.

Q: Is this cart steel as pictured (and described) or is it a plastic base? Why then did a reviewer say it has a plastic base?

This cart is whole steel frame. It's around 75 pounds weight. The review which said plastic base is the black cart. Not this one.
