Very accurate, a little cluncky to use
This is just a first impression. Conclusion:Excellent value, very accurate, and perfectly usable with some care (like all tools, really). See below for things to look out for.Comments:Before attaching the square and before cutting, it's very important to make sure there is no debris anywhere two surfaces meet, like between the track and the square, and between the square and the reference edge of the work piece. It's a very good idea to run the saw with a vacuum. There may be a lot of variance in accuracy from unit to unit. The all-important rail is attached to the body with screws. All the name brand models are machined out of a single piece of aluminum. So, test yours when you get it.I have no idea how it will stand up to use. The clips or the rail that lines up against the track (not the T-slot rail) would be be the first to fail, and those are the most important components.Pros:My unit is dead accurate. I ran the 5-cut test and the error is within measurement limits (say, less than .2mm) over about a 50 cm square. (I didn't have a bigger scrap I could use.)It looks nice. The main body machining looks very good.Cons:It's a little fussy to use. The most important thing to look out for is to make sure the body of the square is pushed up against the track before clipping it on. Otherwise it may not be snug against the track, possibly even damaging the track. The hinge pins on the clip hooks are loose and can stick out and prevent the clip handles from being pushed down. The cutouts on the body for clamps are too small. The (laser-cut?) anti-tip tab has sharp edges and might scratch the work. It has already scratched the anodization on my square and possibly cut my finger (well something cut my finger). I'll probably clean it up with a file or abrasive stick. It's not at all a critical component so I'm not worried about it.

It had one job*. * And it does it pretty well.
Updated Review (original review below it):After ordering another square from a competitor and still getting an out of square condition, I did some additional research. I figured out that at some point my reliable square was no longer reliable. As such, it was showing this track square as being out of alignment, when in fact it was not.I have now used this for a few days and checked all the cuts. Everything is square and I have no complaint about this unit's ability to make a square cuts. However, my comment about the tab remains the same. It is slightly too long and does not fold back completely. I will fix this with a quick run through my belt sander and all will be good.I think if they fix this issue, this is a 5 star product.Fit and finish is excellent except for the tab and it looks great.**************************** Old Review *************************************Ordered this hoping that it would function at its one job, making square cuts with my Makita track saw.Tested it out on a short track and it was out of square by 1/16th of an inch over two feet. That would translate to 1/8" out of square on a cross cut of a 4x8 plywood sheet which is unacceptable for cabinet making. The tab that is supposed to hold the square on a sheet of plywood is made of cheap barely finished metal and when retracted it hangs over the edge of the square, which then interferes and defeats the purpose of making the tab retractable. It fails at its one job.

Good product
Easy to install on my Makita track. Checked it for square using the 6 8 10 method and it’s dead on. Very pleased.

Not worth it
It does fit flush at 90 degree but rarely will the end actuallly line up perfect. Better off just marking both ends and clamping down each side on the mark and forgoing this altogether. Parallel guide would be actually useful
