Great item
Use this to respray the inside parts of my log burner. Easy to use and sprayed all the parts with one can.

Impressively professional finish - dead easy to use
Bought this to repaint a black Weber BBQ that is at least 10 years old. The lid had oxidised over several winters, and whilst working perfectly fine, was looking a little ropey. I've never repainted a BBQ, or indeed painted with spray before.Step 1: Cleaned BBQ using soapy waterStep 2: Wire wool'd the areas I was going to repaint.Step 3: Used masking tape on areas I did not want repainted (logo etc)Step 4: Shook can and sprayed.I'm seriously impressed with the result (see photo) - the finish after ONE coat was Matt and professional. I'm genuinely struggling to believe just how professional looking the finish is on the lid itself. The side supports were damaged beyond what scrubbing/painting can do, but the paint did make it look more than reasonable. I'm planning on a second coat this weekend.Strongly recommend use of a face mask when using this paint. To test it out, I let my BBQ run to heat (300c) for 30 mins - and the paint has neither cracked, melted, changed or affected the BBQ in any way (note: I only did the outside). If you are looking for a way to refresh a BBQ, don't hesitate. 6 pounds has rejuvenated an old BBQ, and will hopefully keep it chugging for many further years to come.

Works well if you get a can that sprays correctly
The first can I had did not spray correctly, this only became apparent when I had to order a second can because the first left me with such an uneven and poor finish. The second can I received worked very well as expected. It does go a long way, I managed to re spray my entire 10kw wood burner and stove pipe with one can.Unlike other similar sprays this one does not mention curing so I didn't believe it needed it although the finish is rather delicate and susceptible to marking which leads me to believe there should be some curing process involved but I may be wrong.Finish is a deep thick Matt black that looks great. Really happy I went for this over other brands I have used in the past.

Not cheap but does the job better than others so good value.
Easy to apply, to get the desired matt finish you do need to spray it, I tried touching up some chips with a small brush and it dried too shiny, a rub with a bit of wire wool the next day dulled it down OK. I used it on a garden umbrella pole, the alloy edge of a glass topped table and some alloy framed garden chairs. Gives a tough durable finish. Takes a while to fully dry, best left until next day, may appear dry much sooner but is not hardened and may mark. If you spray anywhere you don't want the paint remove it with turps within the first couple of hours as when it hardens it's a bugger to remove. Not cheap at £8 a can, but it is a big can and the paint covers well, in the end you often get what you pay for and although I haven't used this on my BBQ yet as it doesn't need it, it is excellent for all other used around the garden and much better than any of the paints sold in car factors.

Very thin paint.
This stuff is OK, but it's pretty "Runny", and doesn't seem to have as much surface tension as other heat resistant paints I've used. This means that if you're trying to spray something that's a complex shape, unless you apply loads of REALLY light coats, you'll get runs. Once dry it's fine. It's a satin finish that looks a bit like it would rub off, but it doesn't transfer to a cloth when wiped, so it's stuck there pretty well, and it's held up to being on the chimney of one of my paraffin heaters pretty well.(Side note - Surprisingly, the silver version of this product has held up to being on the INSIDE of a paraffin heaters chimney for a year without burning off, it was also a little more user friendly when I applied it).

Easy to spray, dries to a nice smooth finish
I used this to spray a tatty stainless rear sprocket spider on my bike.Quick sand down to remove most of the surface rust, then simply spray two coats of this over the top. It's been on for about 800 miles now, through the winter salt etc and comes up like new when washing the bike. Good stuff!
