Very Good Value for Money
I needed to be able to transfer a gramophone record to a digital format for a friend who no longer has a record player. Unfortunately the record is long deleted from Decca's catalogue. I purchased this mixer and it worked like a charm. I paired it with Audacity which is a stunning piece of software. At first I could only record the sound from the laptop's built in microphone. Then I found the Recording Device option under the Audio Setup option on the top bar of the Audacity display. This gave me the record player but at low volume and then I noticed that the recording gain in Audacity is a slider superimposed on the recording level display and sliding this to about -6dB gave me a good clean sound. Audacity makes it easy to export FlAC or MP3 files etc. and even Microsoft WAV. Use the 2-track input on the Xenyx 302 and it bypasses the equaliser and other gain controls. It is powered off the USB port but comes with a power supply in a separate box which is where you will find the USB cord (standard USB not USB-c). All you will need then is and RCA stereo lead from your phono pre=amp. An excellent product which doesn't need any extra drivers.. My PC is running Windows 11 Pro.

Top Notch Little Mixer
I bought this mixer to record cassette tapes and records on to my PC so my review is essentially to do with just that. The mixer's power supply comes via USB from the PC or you can use the USB adapter also supplied to use power from the mains socket. Well before I go on any further, this mixer works brilliantly. I connected my record turntable [Bush MTT1...it has a built in pre-amp... very necessary] to the phono inputs on the mixer marked "2-TRACK" and then connected the "MAIN MIX" phono outs to the line-in on the PC. I use Magix Audio Cleaning Lab software on the PC. The recordings are top quality.Recordings via the "LINE" input are also excellent... you can use the EQ if needed to good effect plus the Pan facility. I prefer the "2-TRACK" input as it bypasses the EQ.I have not used the Mic In with a phantom powered mic but can confirm that it is excellent with a dynamic mic... I use the Shure PG57.The XLR input also doubles as a 1/4" jack input too! The recordings are clean and clear and their is a very good low and high EQ with panning on this input. You have total control of volumes from all inputs which is basically what a mixer is all about. You can route your mix via head phones or the main mix. This unit is very well made and has a solid feel to it especially the XLR and phono inputs. The mixer has many uses and I can totally recommend it... it also takes up hardly any space on your already crowded desktop! As a footnote there is no way that I am parting company with my cassette or vinyl collection... it's simply fun to be able to copy them if needed for whatever purpose.

A Compact Audio Powerhouse. Sound quality okay. Fantastic controls and ease of use.
[Sound Quality]The Behringer XENYX 302USB mixer delivers an okay, though not exceptional, sound quality. While it's perfect for podcasting, basic recording, or live streaming, audiophiles might find it lacking in depth and clarity. However, for its size and price, it does the job adequately.[Design]This mixer is incredibly easy to use, making it a great choice for beginners and those who want a hassle-free setup. The controls are intuitively laid out, and the inclusion of sliders for volume and mixing adds to its user-friendliness. You'll be up and running in no time, even if you're new to audio mixing.[Controls]One of the standout features of the XENYX 302USB is its volume and mixing controls. The sliders are smooth and responsive, allowing for precise adjustments. Whether you're adjusting microphone levels, blending audio sources, or fine-tuning your sound, these controls make the process a breeze.[USB/Audio Interface Compatibility]The built-in USB audio interface is a handy addition, making this mixer compatible with both PC and Mac systems. It simplifies recording and playback processes, and the quality is more than sufficient for most casual users. It's a versatile feature that expands the mixer's functionality. In summary, the Behringer XENYX 302USB is a compact and user-friendly mixer that offers decent sound quality for its price. Its ease of use and responsive controls make it an excellent choice for beginners and those seeking a simple audio solution. While it may not satisfy audiophiles looking for top-tier sound, its versatility and USB interface compatibility make it a solid performer for various audio needs. Unfortunately I returned mine as I was looking for better audio quality with less noise. But I do slightly regret doing so as it is very useful.

Wonderful peice of kit.
This is a reasonably priced mixer that does quite a lot in a small box. It poweres XLR Condenser Microphones (Yes, it supports phantom power) it also provides sound to and from USB, from 1.4 jack cables, phono leads and headsets / 3.5mm jack microphones.I have used it for condenser microphones and connection to guitars and it has worked perfectly. It can be powered over USB either from a PC USB Port (which provides you with USB sound functionality) or from the wall with a USB charger. It is well built and sturdy. It has some weight behind it which means it does not easily slip from surfaces. For someone with Basic audio needs, or recording facilities with space restrictions, then this is the mixer for you.

Good Enough
I am learning to DJ, part of that includes recording yourself to learn where you are going wrong and how to correct it.I purchased this to record my "mixing attempts" with OBS so I could have it record from the "Output" of the DJ Controller instead of the Desktop Sound from the Software, which I think would work but not sure and this was cheap enough.I have been fairly happy however, I did notice quite abit of "Buzzes and Hums" as such I have got my old "Buzz Boxes & Hum Destroyers" out, and will be giving them a try to see if they clean up the audio for when I am ready to release a mix on to YouTube which will be fairly soon!
