This inside is a stainless steel container with no apparent coating.

Q: Is the opening wide enough to fit your hand inside in order to clean it?

Depends on the size of your hand, I think. I use cleansing tablets to clean my Miir. I think that’s your best option. I like the sleekness of the cup—it fits most cup holders.

Q: Stainless steel hurts my teeth, does the lid prevent stainless from coming into contact with your mouth?

It did for me, the lid is plastic and seems to be enough of a lip on the top to keep MY teeth from hitting metal. It is a small cup and fits perfectly in my backpack bottle holder, So I use it often and have never had that issue.

Q: Will this fit in the small mini coopers cup holder? for reference a monster can will fit perfectly in the cup holder but nothing wider.

It should not be a problem. I have had mine in multiple cars, including a classic car with small cup holders. Other cups did not fit, but this did!
