This may save you thousands....
My Silverado 2007 Z71 suffered the typical high mileage gearbox failure (at 180M kms). Local dealer quoted a U$7000 repair bill!I had the failure codes from my scanner and ordered this OEM unit for U$700. Got charged U$300 for labour and U$100 for fluid.I obviously felt like Einstein.

Genuine GM part
My TCM started to fail on my 2014 gmc. Had a p1915 code and a bunch of invalid comm with TCM codes. When the transmission would get warm I would loose my gear indication and computer couldn’t tell what gear it was in. Thought it could be P/N switch but ECM could read that fine. I noticed this is a new part number from GM over the one that it was replacing. Also color was a little different. So it seems GM may have changed some things. Install was not horrible but maybe beyond the average person. Also, you will need a mongoose or similar j box to program this from GM’s tds website after install. Good price for a brand new oem product. Not rebuilt or refurbished

This is not a plug and play
This is not a plug and play, You have to have the proper software and equipment to load up new software matching your Vin number the dealer will usually charge $200 to do this, or you could find a transmission shop or mechanic that has this software.Street smart transmissions will send you one with it already programmed to your Vin number.
