I am very happy with the new updated product. The old chews were extremely hard and my dog had a hard time eating them. These are still harder than other treats, but much improved!! My dogs love them. I like giving a treat that is also helping their joints and skin with the benefits of Omega.

My golden retriever lost a lot of hair at training camp ( 2weeks). We are not sure if it was stress related or changing of seasons but his hair was sooo patchy, it was so embarrassing and sad. We called our vet to better understand what this could have been caused by. She said stress or skin irritation from shampoo trainer used. Vet recommended we use this product and what a difference it has made!! My dog grew back all his missing hair and then some. His coat is very thick, healthy and he is happy! He is comfortable, not itchy and his coat looks great! We give him 2 chews in the morning with food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My dog likes these so much he climbed up to the counter where darling husband left them and doggo ate the WHOLE BAG. Don’t worry; he was fine- just farted a bit for a day. We cut him off for a week of monitoring and then let him back at it at a normal dose, with the bag left up very high in a cabinet the rascal (probably?) can’t reach. Now his fur is absurdly soft and silky and he’s bouncing like a bunny. He’s always getting told how nice his coat is and how good it feels to pet him. Might have to move to a higher dose if his head gets any bigger from all the compliments. He deserves them. Best Boy gives 4- Paws Up.

Update: The most recent bag I received was marked "new shape, softer chew". They are, indeed. I still cut them with scissors, but they're much easier to cut into pieces small enough for my dog to consume safely. The new square shape is easier to deal with, too. I carefully compared the nutritional information and ingredients with those listed on the old bag and everything claims to be identical. I do hope that's the case because they have been working well for my dog.Original review follows: These are described as "soft chews" but they are only soft in the aspect that they are not "crunchy". They're like hard caramels. Which is, for my older beagle who doesn't have the best teeth, a definite choking hazard. But they do work as expected to alleviate his itchy skin problem so I dutifully saw them into pieces he can safely consume. I describe cutting them as "sawing" because there is no cutting these with a table knife, or breaking them with your fingers - despite the shallow line marking what is supposed to be the mid-point - a serrated knife is needed to get through these "soft chews".Edit: I upgraded my rating to 4 stars (from 3). I read a review where someone cut the chews with scissors and that greatly improves dividing these chews. it's still a chore, but better than trying to cut them with a knife.

My pup has amazing skin now and her dandruff is dramatically improved, almost gone!
