The cross sections are stunning and really help with understanding the construction and operation of the components.

As I retired engineer this was a wonderful trip down memory lane. I can say I wish I had this book at University it would have made my microelectronics course a lot easier. A very well made book with just enough detail to peak your Curiosity and encourage you to dig deeper. The photography is fantastic. Everyone who is even slightly interested is how modern technology and society is powered should have this book. A great book altogether. Suitable for all ages

Great book. Great illustrations and simple explanations of the nature and function of electronic components. I bought it for my son-in-law but wish I had got it for myself. I would say good for a hobbyist who wants to learn a bit more about how things work and why.

Great Book worth adding it to your personal library. The Pictures and commentary are very interesting and gives you another perspective on electronics. The beauty of the architecture and structure of electronics in photos. Worth just looking at the pictures!!
