I purchased this for my old laptop, it was very slow and tried upgrading ram and downgraded to win8 still performance was pathetic. After upgrading my hdd to ssd it's working like a brand new and im using with windows 10 now. If you have money concerns don't chage you're old laptop just have a good ssd and it will perform like new.
