Heated Up.
I was initially impressed with TECHTOBOX 8K HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter, but it quickly became a letdown.I purchased the TECHTOBOX 8K HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter with high hopes for its 4K120Hz support. Initially, I was pleased with the picture quality and performance, but my experience quickly went downhill. After about 10 minutes of use, the picture would start to flicker and cut out. It was incredibly frustrating and made it impossible to use the adapter for extended periods of time. To make matters worse, I discovered that the device was blazing hot to the touch after only a few minutes of use.I tried everything I could think of to fix the issue, but it happened every time I used the product. I was incredibly disappointed with the adapter's performance and ended up returning it.Overall, I would not recommend the TECHTOBOX 8K HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter. While the 4K120Hz support was initially great, the constant flickering, cutting out, and overheating made it impossible to use."

This adapter is not bi-directional and will not work with an HP Reverb VR headset.
Just a note and caution for my fellow gamers. This unit did not work for me and it is my fault. I didn't understand that I needed a bi-directional solution to plug in and use my DisplayPort interfacing HP Reverb VR headset. Please don't make the same mistake if you are looking for a solution to plug in your own VR headset. Beyond that, I think this product works as advertised and is a good product. If you want to simply take an HDMI output and route it to a DisplayPort input, this should work for you.

Calidad excelente
Tenía el original de Apple y se me dañó, compré este y funciona de maravilla, en definitiva nada que envidiar al original. Muy bueno

It works with 2020 M1 MacMini!
This cable was the final piece of the puzzle. Saved me from buying any of the much more expensive hubs that offer dual monitor output capabilities. A very cost effective solution to adding a second monitor to an Apple MacMini M1 2020. Both monitors (28” Asus VP28UQG) are now running 60hz, 4K, 3840 x 2160. Left monitor is connected to the MacMini using a USB-C out to Display Port in cable. Right monitor is connected to the MacMini from HDMI out to Display Port in using this cable. Just be aware this is a powered cable, so you also need to plug the USB side into another hub. I use an 11 port Apange USB 3.0 powered hub that is connected to the MacMini which allows me to quickly mount external hard drives and other accessories to the M1 Mini. I even have a 10 year old LaCie Blu-Ray disc drive hooked into the hub that lets me play DVDs on the MacMini. Ventura DOES include the Apple DVD player, it is just buried in the System Library.

Hotty Shizkabob! (Updated to Hott-Ish)
Not enough QC or thorough testing, it seemed. They got an idea, implemented it, and sell it quick. Just like those fabulous crazy lumens flashlights that ended up useless due to false lumens, too hot to handle and had to be throttled, or battery is insufficient for the rated lumens. This hdmi cable head is soooo hot, I checked it was 110F, the DP side still cool to the touch. Without any modding, no wonder why this thing break fast! Right now, few months in, cable is cutting signal in and out. I use a heatsink, and can prolong it. Not sure about the safe temp range, or could it be a fire hazard.Updated June 4th:Seller has been gracious enought to support customer dissatisfaction, which I should honor that with higher star rating. Product tho still not that desirable, though functionality wise works to meet what you need to do in a pinch. This is not a long term solution, so if you can then just get a straight out DP cable. I'm thankful that this product exist, but cutting in-out signal is frustrating honestly.Anyways, here are some changes I noticed with the new cable sent to me.1. Lower profile HDMI plug, which is a plus as it was never got hot in the old one (like a heatsink).2. Signal still in and out, the old one didn't happen till weeks later. TBH, I'm still in a testing mode, so too early to tell.3. Temperature of the DP plug is for certain 10 degree F cooler than the old one.Final update:1. Yeah, the new one is total garbage! Loss signals that made me think of the old days of CRT, banging the monitor out of frustration. Thank goodness, the monitor is few months old that gave me a good reminder to take care of it as it will taken care of my wallet.
