Skar Audio SK12TBV Single 12" 800 Watt Max Power Vented Subwoofer Enclosure Tube

I did not like this Speaker for about 2 weeks it needed time to break in . It is in the trunk of my 2001 ford focus se I am powering it with a Kicker 400.1 mono block amplifier it will get things to moving around . I plan to order another one tomorrow and maybe a Skar Audio 800.1 mono block amp to power them I should be able to vibrate pictures on my walls then and probably my neighbors. I removed the factory Bass port from this box as it was I think 3.25 inches round and installed a 4 inch round and 19.5 inch long Bass port and it gave me deeper bass I got the measurements from a box building website . It seems that the factory port was fluttering some air inside the box. I highly recommend this subwoofer if you want to feel your hairs vibrating and your vision jump.

Good lord in heaven is this thing loud! It keeps its composure on every track I throw at it. I have this in my 2022 4door Bronco Badlands. Hated the B&O system that came with the LUX package, so I replaced the speakers and ripped out the sub. I am using a Kicker Key amp 500.1. It sends 500 watts to this 1 ohm load sub and pounds. I can’t believe the price for this sub and box. It takes up a little room but the consolation is that if you have a lot of thing to put in your cargo area, you can easily stack items on top, plus you don’t have to worry about the woofer being physically damaged because of the grill. Blown away does not even describe it! If you are on the fence, don’t be. Buy this thing now!

I’ve had many skar products as they’re affordable and I’m broke but they all blow, I’ve had this bass tube (12”) for about 2 months and it hits hard in my g37, I’m constantly picking the mirror up. More than enough bass for anyone unless you like hurting your earsEdit: lasted 3 months and voice coil burnt, I’ve been overpowering the sub so I expected it, just wanted the enclosure tbhEdit pt2: after burning the voice coil i put a one level up 12” that skar makes and have been using it for 4months or so and I broke my windshield seal it hit so hard. Still running strong

I don’t use my truck everyday so the speaker is not getting regularly used. Less wear and tear.with that being said the speaker has blown within a month of purchase. Sounds great at first , hell I loved it.. but the quality just not that good at all!! Buy at your own risk

Get a Skar they say, the best in budget subs, but really? It looks killer all black and sexy with its rectangular shape and a nice branded logo stiched into the side, but it made it only 10mo with this sub before the thing froze up and seized. In the middle of a rolloff with the bass adjustment knob at 40% the sub went into a low frequency sweep, it made it thru the first rolloff and then froze, smell of electrical heat and when I disconnected the sub and removed it from the enclosure, it was clear the voice coil was welded with max extension out. Was it a great value? No it was not as it wasn't even being pushed that hard from a NVX amp. Was it clean bass before the breakdown? Yes it was clean and punchy, much better than the legacy JL subs I had prior to or the Kicker Comps. Dual voice coil was a nice feature to wire down to 2ohm. But being someone who isn't a heavy bass head and having it burn out after less than 12mo? Skar you left a scar on my heart and I moved on to Audiopipe.

This sub hit. I have a 3 row suv, full leather interior and this speaker still makes the front passenger feel the bass. I was really impressed, but unfortunately my amp was 3 times to big. I had it installed Monday and smoking Wednesday. Completely my fault. I would buy it again. I have a 12 skar ported box now
