A local talk show host recommended these to make wearing fashion boots more comfortable. I had boughten a new pair of boots that I wanted to wear for a work event and figured I would give these a try. I am SO glad I did! The boots were 3.5" heels and I don't typically wear heels often anymore. I brought a second pair of more comfortable boots with thinking I would change half way through the evening. With these silicone heel pads I didn't need to. They were extremely comforable all evening. I will note, my feet did sweat a bit with these on and the pads were kind of wet by the end of the evening but nothing I didn't expect. It's really nice that you can wash them and reuse. These pads will definately open up the boot buying possibilities - no longer will comfort be a concern!

I bought a new pair of Doc Martens and have only been able to wear them a few times because they would cause such bad blisters on the back of my heels even after just a few hours, even when doubling up on socks. I put these on in between two pairs of socks and they are AMAZING! I've been wearing my boots during 8 hour shifts with no pain or chafing, no more blisters! These truly are a life saver if you wear any kind of leather boots that aren't broken in yet, especially Doc Martens! And they really are great value for money they are affordable and great quality.

In all fairness, I bought these for hiking as another reviewer said they used these under their socks to keep their heel from slipping. I bought two sizes, large and medium. They just don't work. There are very thin and you can't put your socks on - they roll up and won't stay in place. I bought another brand, Dr. Fred.er.ick, that work for hiking. These are thick, substantial, comfortable, and work. Too late to return these Ballotte Silicone heel protectors.

These definitely provide comfort but getting the socks over them is a struggle. The silicone cushion wants to initially roll up if you put socks on without using a lot of effort to hold the sock open wide enough to scoot past the silicone cushion. If you have thin socks that are more easily stretched it would work much easier, however, thicker, less stretchy socks are harder to wear.It took me a couple hours of walking to get used to these. The shoes I had on were a Doc Marten platform boot and with every step I could feel the squish from the silicone cushion. After a while I didn’t notice it anymore.I do like that the silicone cushion is vented with holes, as it helped the cushion dry nicely after wearing. I simply laid them out on my floor for the night and there was no stink or residue on them.

When the weather turns very cold and the heat has to come on frequently, I end up with painful cracks in my heels. These things completely eliminated that problem! They are quite comfortable, easily washable, and the medium fit my women’s size 8 feet just fine. Hopefully they will hold up, but so far I have been extremely pleased with them.

I hate it when I think I know better than people that review before me. A lot of people said these move around a lot, but I decided that wouldn’t happen to me, because I’d just put socks over them. Guess who has egg on her face? I tried to use these for my dry heels several times, and no matter what I did, they slipped around. Walking with them on is risky business, because your heel slips around the whole time. Unless you lay perfectly still when you sleep, these will end up upside down, on your calf, or slipping off your toes in the middle of the night.

So I got a size medium and my shoe size is about 8-8.5 in womens and it was pretty accurate. I originally got these because a pair of my dr. martens gives me god awful blisters and i needed a barrier so i could wear them for more than 30 minutes. I put them on under my socks so they would have a good grip on my foot but if you think youre feet will sweat it might be best to put them over a sock. As far as protection they really were thick enough to not blister but i ended up wearing them through the house in my socks to change my laundry and discovered they feel absolutely amazing just to wear in general. Ive always struggled with foot pain especially at work and they give a nice squishy padded layer under and around and im excited to try them out in my work shoes

I use these along with heel lifts and it makes all the difference with my torn achilles tendon. A true life saver! The small fits me well and I wear a women's size 7W shoe. I initially rated these 5 stars, but I reduced it to 2 stars because I wore it and it broke apart after using it for 2 days. It's really a shame because it was great until it fell apart.
