This shooting rest bag is heavy duty well built and should last you a long while. The stitching is durable. The canvas material is nice and thick. The “V” shaped channel where you rest your rifle is deep and securely cradles your rifle. The handle is conveniently placed and makes transporting the bag a breeze. Oh and this bag comes filled ready for field use.

This impressed me of uses ! Can use in stand , quick alignment if you bump your gun hunting . Rifles , pistol and shotguns no matter you can use this ! Heavy made holds gun great ! Caldwell out done there self here !

I really like this bag. Use it for everything from .22s and pellet guns up thru .308. ARs and pistols.as well, with or without a rear bag, depending on circumstances. I originally filled it with sand, but that was very heavy. Solid rest, but a pain to lug around. Switched to walnut shell media. Much lighter (seems by about 2/3). Still very solid but much easier to use. Corn cob would also work, but that is much more absorbent and I'd rather avoid the moisture/mold /rot issues. Plastic pellets should be especially good for that as well as weight reduction, but everything I found was prohibitively expensive. Took about 10 Liters, 2 bags, of walnut media to fill it. Great bag.

Excellent bag rest. Lighter than my large Browning bag and a bit shorter but actually a better shape to hold a slim hunting rifle. Point is, it works well. Especially if you already have enough stuff to haul to the range, lighter is nice. You might want to add a small bag under the butt stock for max stability if you are trying to squeeze that group size down some more. Another review mentioned sand leaking. I haven't had that problem so far, but changing the filler to polyester beads would cure this and cut the weight down as well. One review said a seam burst when dropped and I would not be too surprised. The material and stitching, while serviceable, seem lighter than some of the more expensive bags. I haven't dropped it yet, but I've plunked it down pretty firmly, while having my hands full with the portable bench, shooter's bag and so forth with no problem. Your mileage may vary as the saying goes. If it could be rated at 4 1/2 stars I might do so, but for the cost it is a very good purchase. I have a lead sled rest and others but this one is just a handy size and works well.

This is a great support for accurate field/range shooting. It has a variety of positions that you can place it in to achieve the right height for your shooting position. I think it’s best suited for bench range shooting, but you could bring it out for hunting from a static position.The two biggest cons:1). I bought mine unfilled. The two filling ports on either side are super small. Using a funnel is a must. I filled mine with popcorn kernels, which made it super heavy and only suitable for range use. But that’s fine because that’s exactly what I bought it for.2). I already mentioned it, it’s super heavy completely filled. If you fill it with something light it will be much more convenient to carry, but less stable.Still a great rest and worth the money

I got two of these to shoot 400 yard targets. I filled them with cat litter, and these are a big step up from blue jean legs filled with sand. I am not sure about them reducing recoil. The rifle is nice and snug when it rests in one of these bags. I send one with guest to shooting houses, and no one has complained about carrying the extra weight.

This is SUPERB for sighting in guns off the bench! Much Better than the Lead Sled! Comes already filled and EASY TO USE! TACK DRIVER SAYS IT ALL ! Every shooter NEEDS One!!!

Purchased this because I heard it really does a good job of helping you zero your rifle. Well, it does. I went to the range today and I am really impressed. Sighted in four hunting rifles, two in heavey caliber. with the rifle placed right in the bag, it holds steady. It even seems to take some of the recoil off, because of the weight of it. I definitely recommend this.
