My used Explorer didn't come with a key fob so I ordered this one and took it to the dealership to get programed. They told me that 30% of aftermarket jobs don't work. To their surprise and mine, this one worked great and they said it was easy to program. Very pleased with the quality and price for the fob.

Even though the packaging said Ace Hardware couldn’t program it they did and it works great.

Looks and acts the same as the stock key. Requires a local locksmith to copy the side cut and program it, although the latter may (emphasis, may) be possible with FORscan.

Cheap lightweight knock offWorked for 4 months then I was left stranded as the key fob just lost its programming. When it did work it you could breath on the panic and it would go off. Save your self a headache and get a genuine OEM fob.

Compared to factory the buttons are extremely easy to push, especially in your pocket. I ended up taking out the horn button as I got this fob specifically to lock and unlock while the truck is running. Other than that programing was an absolute pain but this is none of the seller's fault. My truck was a mid 2018 f450 where they changed programming in the truck. Once I managed to get it programmed the key worked amazingly!

Excellent product, and a perfect replacement for the OEM keys. These were easily cut and programmed by the dealer. Of course they fore-warned us that "these were not purchased from us, so they may, or may not, work properly. No guarantees."They worked with no problems.

Programed without any issues for my 2019 Ford F150. Saved a ton of money doing this myself. My truck was purchased used and I was only given one key.-Key was programed using FORSCAN for windows software version 2.3.62 (needed to purchase 1 year license for $12)-I used the usb to OBD2 adaptor recommended by FORSCAN website. Amazon (Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FORScan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch) $35-My local locksmith charged $40 to cut the key.I've never used FORSCAN in my life but found it to be extremely easy to use. I used the add a key option without deleting any of the previous keys. The entire programming process only took about 5 minutes. My local dealership wanted almost $400 to supply, cut and program a new key. I did this all myself for $117 leaving me with the tools needed to make additional keys any time I want.
