Perfect OEM fitment
Exact OEM fit down to the internal pin shape. Used this to bypass the brake light failure relay on a MK3 Supra, which uses the same plug as the stereo harness. Fit perfectly and I appreciated the wires already being pre-stripped and terminated making it a 30 second process to jump the necessary wires I needed together. Brake lights working perfectly without the problematic relay now. Highly recommend for any Toyota owners needing this exact plug.

WORKS with a 2000 Toyota 4Runner
Easy. Quick. Painless. Trouble-free. Does what it is supposed to do. That's all for the review (what more were you expecting from a wiring harness?) Now on to some help and recommendations....I've seen a few comments on here that say you cannot use this with a 2000 4runner (and similar years). If you DO NOT have the JBL audio system, it will be a quick and easy install (see elsewhere for info on that). However, if you DO have the JBL system, you have an additional step that many are unaware of. As a result, they do not believe this wiring harness works. Here is the CORRECT method of installation:1. Splice the wires from your intended receiver into this harness. Use the wires from YOUR RECIEVER as the guide. Once all the wires from it are connected, you are done. YOU MAY HAVE LEFTOVER WIRES ON THE HARNESS PORTION. No biggie. This harness is capable of doing things that perhaps your reciever cannot. Put some electrical tape over them to conceal the ends and leave them alone.2. Remove the factory receiver (if applicable) after disconnecting the included wiring harness.3. At this point, you will have a wire bundle and connector hanging in your dash that you just unplugged from your receiver. This is NOT, repeat NOT, what you will be using to connect your new receiver.4. IMPORTANT: The JBL audio system has its own separate amplifier. THIS is what was plugged into your receiver. You need to remove it from the equation in order for A) this harness to work as it should and B) your system to use the amp built into your receiver. If you do not wire it this way, you will be STILL using the JBL amp and your system will not sound as good as it could.5. Follow the wires that were connected directly to your receiver to the small metallic box and remove the box. REMOVE ONLY THIS BOX as there is a similar box just below it but this is controls your airbags. (Need I say, DO NOT touch it?)6. Once you remove this box, you will see that it is also plugged into another unit. THIS is where the Metra 70-1761 is intended to plug into. Plug your new harness in here and secure the receiver in whatever manner is necessary for your unit.In other words.............Factory: RECIEVER >>>>>AMP>>>>>VEHICLE (This is how the JBL system comes. You need to remove the amp from the equation or the Metra 70-1761 will not work. In other words, it was not designed to connect to the factory amp). With new harness: RECIEVER>>>>>>>VEHICLEI hope this helps someone out there. It took a lot of digging on my part, but I installed the whole thing last night. After wiring everything, the removal and install probably took 15 minutes. Very easy.

Excellent connection.
Very easy to use. I have a 1998 Toyota 4runner. The old head unit had a different pigtail. I figured out that the out plugs from the amp fit perfectly. The new head unit had 55w per channel so I removed the stock amp. All the connection were labeled nicely on the package. Made for a really clean install keeping the stock harness in tact

Worked perfectly
Ordered the harness adapter for the JBL system, that did not work at all, simply unplugged the connectors below the JBL plug and used these plugs and everything worked perfectly.
