A quality coffee maker. I like its simplicity while have all the features I need to make coffee. Well worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. I will be writing multiple reviews for this product , if permitted. All the basic functions work fine. The resulting coffee tastes great. However, the unit has big design flaws. The first issue is the constant loud clicking. Once the hot plate is on, the thermostat tends to turn it on and off which results in constant noise. I understand the concern for conserving energy but the clicking is loud and frequent. It could have been designed better.It turns out I am not allow multiple videos. The second video I was going to post was the water issue: the auto-stop mechanism rests on the pot and is so poorly design that hot water starts running down it, down the pot, and onto the hot plate. This creates a constant sizzling and causes permanent damage to the plate. You wipe it off mid-brew, put the pot back, and minutes later more water runs down. I have examined everything. Nothing is misaligned, nothing is clogged. It i just a very bad design.Do not buy this unit. I’m very disappointed as I used to be a fan of Braun.

This 14 cup coffeemaker is rather large (preferred 12 cup), but I wanted white so I chose this model. It works well, but set up is guided by a one page manual with one sentence of instruction at most, and pictures to guide the use. While the product works well, I found the brew to be so so and for the price, I would not purchase another one by Braun. The quality of the coffeemaker itself is good, but others would have been just as good with a lower price point. As for the manual, I went to the website to see if there was more operation instructions, but they show the exact one page with pictures. Not all the functions are covered, but I will keep it---just would not recommend it for this reason.

Great tasting coffee until it stopped working. All of a sudden water would leak all over the place every time it made coffee. Cleaned everything and the water leak appeared to stop. A few days later E01 error.Tried to descale but the unit won't work at all.Other side note, it is a little difficult to program and is not intuitive at all. Previous Braun Flavor Select machines were pretty intuitive not requiring requiring referring to the manual to program it every time you wanted to do something different.

Update:Any dribbles of water that miss the reservoir when filling has a tendency to travel down the outside of the basket onto the hotplate. It's almost impossible to remove every bit of moisture from the base of carafe or hotplate. As a result more coating comes off. Compared to our previous Braun this one is poorly designed and made.**************Our prior Braun coffee maker, an older 10 cup model made in eastern Europe, finally died.We bought this 14 cup replacement based on the excellent performance of our older Braun.This new model has a few more features but it takes longer to brew and is more difficult to use. As others noted it's difficult to add water but not impossible.Today, about a month after purchasing I'm noticing the coating is peeling off the hot plate. After calling Braun I'm finding out that this is caused by leaving residual water on the bottom of the carafe. Apparently, after filling and spilling water the owner needs to pull the carafe and dry the bottom and the hot plate. I haven't been doing that.Fortunately if the coating peels off the function is not impaired.

Makes a great cup of coffee. Love the auto on feature. Good price.
