Seems to be working on the bow of my boat.

After purchasing a set of new flags and then a new arm, I'm out. Replacement parts are pricey for what they are and they are not strong enough for high winds. The system also needed constant maintenance if you're on the ocean. Needed to apply WD-40 on the bushings or eventually the flags will get frozen and not flip around in the wind.

W have tried so many things to keep the seagulls from pooping on our boat. This is the only thing that has worked!! Had to retrofit it but that was easy!!

Product worked for a few hours then the arms and flags fell off the pin and into the water. The unit should come with a clip to hold in on the pin. You can buy one for an additional 13 dollars, I did not think I needed it because my boat is not in a high wind area or rough water. The day it fell off there wasn't enough wind to hardly keep it turning and real calm. If you purchase get the additional securing piece.

UPDATE: There is a seperate retaining clip for this system which I highly recomend you purchase if you intend on using this system in any normal New England ocean winds. Otherwise there is nothing to hold the system together and it will simply blow away.The responsiveness of the seller is great! without even asking, the seller took steps to resolve my issues with the product.An interesting fact.....After the first system blew away, I ran out to West Marine and purchased the same concept system they sell called a "bird-be-gone". Turns out that system is crap. 2 days into use, plastic tabs began to snap off. The retaining clip on that system which is included in the original package was slightly bent and caused the system to stop spinning all together several times resulting in birds on my boat. The bird-be-gone system also will not spin unless its almost perfectly level which is hard to achieve on a boat. I now have both this system and the bird-be-gone system installed on my boat and this system is performing better.I did have to make some slight modifications to the fins on the replacement parts for this system. they fit too snug in the mounting holes and theirfor did not rotate freely. I shaved some of the plastic off with a knife to resolve this issue.This system will cost you more than the bird-be-gone system since you will need the retaining clip however may outlast the bird-be-gone system in the end. Time will tell.In the end, both this and its competitors system had some short comings and design flaws. Both of them seem to be expensive and at risk of failure but not much to choose from. I do feel the chances of this system breaking is far far less than the bird-be-gone system available at west marine though.Original Review:I wasted my money on this. Do not buy this if you keep your boat in a spot that gets any wind! A very poor design. I knew it would fail after receiving it but figured I would try it to see if they had designed it in a way that knew better than I did. The pivoting arm sits on top of a long rod. It just sits on there and is held on with gravity. Good systems have some sort of pin that will hold it on there. This one does not. So.... put the boat out this year and the first good wind blew it right off the holder into the water. Now I have to go buy another one. Again.... don't buy this unless you keep your boat in a spot that does not see greater than 5 MPH winds.

Good product. Some improvements from prior model. Prior model broke in high wind.

Head keeps falling off. Should find a better way to secure the head.
