Very useful; basically a pint-sized machete.
I needed something lightweight for troublesome weeds and just general utility. Fiskars has always shined in that dept. Maybe not the most heavy duty tools, but they get the job done without spending a ton of $$$. This little guy is great; Lightweight, but enough heft for light chopping. The factory edge was... Meh., but gets crazy sharp after a few minutes on diamond and ceramic stones. I've been using it around the house and business taking care of weeds mostly. It'll dispatch very small branches, and the serrations help with sawing through things. The sheath? Yeah, it's crap. But it's a $17 knife, the sheath is probably going to be an afterthought. I might try and find a leather sheath that will fit. Handle is comfortable and the rubber grip works well with or without gloves. Overall, great little all-around blade for gardeners, landscapers, and I'm sure it would make a great camp knife. Most of the machete functionality, without the machete weight.

Perfect for harvesting
This is exactly what I needed for harvesting things like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. I kept taking a kitchen knife to the garden, wishing I had a safe way to carry it. This was the answer, with a hard plastic sheath. I can throw it in my garden basket or use the clip to hook it to my pants, jacket or belt, and know I’m not going to get poked by a sharp knife. It’s easy to use with the sharp edge on the tip, plus up one side. It can handle any large, tough vegetable stem. The handle is a nice size, feels good in my hand, and is appropriately textured for a good grip. I have enjoyed my other Fiskars tools in the past and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s nice and worth the money. I am sure I’ll be using it for many years to come.

Good knife, horribly cheap sheath
I use this for various gardening tasks, including cutting PEC irrigation tubing, harvesting herbs and microgreens, and cutting lengths of butcher's twine for tying bundles of herbs for drying. The knife works very well and is quite sharp, with good ergonomics and a handle that doesn't slip even with wet hands.I did deduct one star because the sheath is made from *very* cheap, flimsy, brittle plastic that gets even stiffer (more brittle) in lower temperatures. I doubt it will last on my hip so I only use it to keep the blade protected and prevent accidental cuts while it's not in use and sitting on my gardening shelf. The knife is Fiskars quality; the sheath is NOT.

Sharp!
I love this knife. It's so sharp and has a great sheath for it. It can hook on to a belt or whatever you're wearing. Very sharp and effective. So glad I purchased.

You might not know that you need it.
Purchased this for my wife so that she would be able to harvest her garden easier. She was reluctant to try it but agreed so as to humor me. Now, it's one of her favorite tools. It's great for harvesting squash or vining crops as it allows you to reach into tight areas and cut the vegetable attachment without damaging the main vine. Also, it's VERY sharp.

Great blade
The blade is nice and fits the hand well. The main problem I had was the first time I wore it the holster got caught on the water hose and when I turned to free it up the belt clip snapped off.

Always cuts like a knife
This is a great all-around gardening knife—versatile, durable, and designed to handle a variety of tasks. Whether you're cutting, chopping, or sawing through plant stems, this knife gets the job done efficiently. It feels solid in hand and comes with a protective sheath for safe storage and easy carrying around the garden. One thing I always consider when buying tools is the warranty—and Fiskars doesn't disappoint. They offer what I like to call a “buy once, cry once” warranty, meaning a Full Lifetime Warranty that backs their products for the long haul. That kind of guarantee shows real confidence in their craftsmanship. If you're in the market for a reliable gardening knife, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s a tool that works hard and is built to last.
