Worked for Brooklyn’s big beautiful brown eyes. No more tear stains!
Worked for my 13 year old cream colored 6 pound Shih Tzu, Brooklyn. My sweet little Brooklyn gets tear stains once in a few years. This time she got them because she was on a prescription eye drop Cyclosporine which helps with dry eyes because it produces more tears. The medication is expensive and it caused terrible tear stains. I kept her on the meds for 2 or 3 months until the crustiness cleared up. I was giving her these chews in the meantime and washing her eyes and face daily with warm water. I do put some eye drops called NanoTears in her eyes everyday now and her eyes are all cleared up and she is looking like a sweet puppy again. My little Brooklyn has lost her hearing as some dogs do as they get older and I surely don’t want her to lose her vision because she watches everything with those big brown eyes. I give them to my other dog a Shih Tzu mix too because she likes them and the ingredients are good for her as well. Blessings from above to all dog lovers!

Stopped working altogether—(previously: This is the only product that helps)
I am revising my 5-star rating to 1. I feel that the production quality is inconsistent. The first bag I got worked perfectly. Then, the subsequent bag(s) did not work at all, so we stopped using it. But, then, the tear burns got so severe that I gave it a try again, and it helped somewhat. Now, we are back to the “not working at all” phase. The food, treats, the living environment, etc. have not changed at all throughout, so I am attributing it to inconsistency in quality. Alternatively, maybe this product loses effectiveness after taking it for a while?==my previous review appears below==We have tried so many different products, and this has been the only one that works for my baby chihuahua. Her eyes are no longer teary and her tear stains are pretty much all gone.

great product for tear stains
product works great. gave to my 2 white maltese for stains and within 30 days almost all stains are gone. this will not change the stains that were there but will prevent new hair growth from being stained. as the hair grew out i cut off the already stained hair and the new hair growth is white. i also use on my shitzu not for stains but for helping with tearing which has a bad odor when it gets on the fur. this has helped to decrease the odor produced from the tears. im on my second bag now and will continue to use for the 2nd month then only use as needed. i give the chews to my 3 dogs daily but if you only have one small dog then the bag will last you 90 days. my dogs love the treats and its so easy to do as opposed to other items you have to sprinkle on food or in water. now i can control the dose and make sure each dog gets the daily amount. thank you for a great product. i just ordered 2 more bags.

The Statement of Stains
Eva is my white Terrier-Chihuahua mixed rescue and has coarse white fur. She is several years old and has, of course, the “tear stains” that are consistent with all fur babies, but are more noticeable with white. Honestly, never thought much of it through the years, but ran across treats that are purported to lessen them. I don’t think these stains can be eliminated, but just looking to lessen them. As long as it doesn’t bother her, eye gunk and fluid is a natural part of dogs, why eliminate it? Lessening the stains is more understandable.I found the best way to measure success is to measure the length of the stain. From two inches to one is a success in my book. Remember, several years old with stains to match. Has definitely lessened over time and these have not upset her stomach or eyes. I still wipe them when I give her a bath as she loving looks up at me with those wet, dark eyes. Love her!Planning on following the instructions: After 30 days stop administration and use only when needed.

They work!
We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Luckily the fur around his eyes is brown, so he doesn't have stains, just eye goop! But when he takes these every day, his eyes are not nearly as goopy. We know because we stopped them for a while and they were much better when he was taking them. They're not a perfect fix, but much, much better than not using them.
