I believe that by that they mean this; the parts were actually made in China but, they were shipped here and then assembled or "made" in the USA.

What are the measurements for the 15 gallon tote?

Lid is 19-1/2 x 28-1/2 at widest. 14-1/8 x 23-1/8" footprint but it widens about an inch just over the gridded base. Bin with lid is 15" tall. 14-3/4 " tall without lid Bin interior is 16-1/2 x 20-1/2 clear at the inside top and 14 x 23 clear at the narrowest in the bottom.

Food grade yes or no?

The lid fits tightly enough to prevent pests from getting inside. Boxed and canned food for human consumption can be stored inside and will remain dry. The plastic can be sterilized so that bulk animal food can be stored inside. Does this help you?
